The Lemon hotel is a budget hotel and you can see why. The sheets on the bed were clean, but the room wasn’t. There was dirt on the walls, there was a fridge (full sized) which was just placed in the middle of the room (small), and not plugged in. The picture on the wall was a printed off picture put in a frame and was water stained. The carpet and the bed cover looked grubby to say the least. The shared toilets and showers were in fairness clean.

Excellent value for money at this stopover hotel. The lady in charge was friendly and helpful and we were very impressed to find a fridge had been put in the room during the heatwave which was going on at the time. The room wasn't huge but fine just for sleeping and the shared toilets were very clean. Parking was plentiful and easy to access - you do have to drive if you want bars or restaurants but you could just as easily stock up from a nearby supermarket and spend the evening on the outside terrace which has lovely flowers and a family of cats. Breakfast was all you'd expect for the reasonable price.

I have never stayed in such a disgusting place! The room was like a ships cabin, the toilets resembled the ones you get at festivals, and you can't raise the seat, which doesn't bode well for someone needing to sit down to use the toilet if they're following a previous male user who'd had a very poor aim. And, there is no facility to wash your hands after using the toilet, so you have to use the sink in your room, to which you can only gain access via a keypad. I have to wonder how often the keypads are properly wiped clean as the sink in my room hadn't been cleaned properly as there was dried soap residue on the ceramic. The place also stank of cigarette smoke. There is a snack machine in the entrance, but you need to go into town which is 2.5 Km away, some 30 minute walk to get a proper meal. Despite the room being able to accommodate 3 people it was extremely compact and tight for one person, so God knows how it is for 3 people in the room at the same time. Eve worse, there was a full sized, unplugged refrigerator just dumped next to the sink, so I had to work my way around it when I wanted a drink of water or clean my teeth. Judging by the state of the toilet and sink I reluctantly decided to go without a shower until I got home. The choice for breakfast consisted of bread rolls, toast, some type of chocolate cereal or something that resembled apple puree, orange juice, or coffee, definitely not worth the money! Don't bother with this place, go elsewhere instead.

Having stayed in many budget hotels i assumed this one would be of the same standard , well how wrong was i - this hotel was very run down and dirty . The bedding was clean but the room was minging - why there is a full size fridge in the room was a mystery and we were not prepared to open it for fear of what maybe lurking inside 😷 .The carpet had stains on it that had taken on a life of their own and the stains on the wall were disgusting . Will be sticking to the tried and tested formula 1 chain in future

Didn't get to stay there as there was no one on check-in when we arrived, no automated check-in and no one would answer the night bell. had to stay at another hotel down the road.

Hotel is very basic, which you would expect for the price, but the rooms need a good clean. The walls were sticky! There is not much of interest within walking distance but the hotel is well located for Saint-Omer and the surrounding area. The breakfast was basic but good value. Service was friendly.

The guy at the front desk was friendly and spoke some English. The rest is bad. Location: Near an industrial zone with no transport. Service users: All male truckers. I wondered why they were all looking at me strangely when I turned up with my girlfriend. "Room features - according to expedia" include 'shower only' facilties. THERE IS NO TOILET OR SHOWER IN THE ROOM!! Shared Bathrooms - In the hall are some cubicle wet room showers and toilets. The toilets have no seat. Imagine a portaloo with a building around it. You could comfortably suffocate in the tiny shower cubicle if your waist size is over 38inches. There was hair under the pillows before we got there. We left in search of another hotel. The one next door was no better in terms in cleanliness but it did have it's own toilet and is only a tiny bit more expensive. The ibis budget in St Omer is much better.

Hotel was noisy floors creaking you could hear people in other rooms we were kept awake most of night by people above us.The hotel is very cheap and had many workmen staying there would not stay again.Because of the noise the staff were friendly and the beds were clean,we only had one small towel between two adults. If you do decide to stay at hotel ear plugs would be a must have item

Worst hotel stay ever, didn't have my booking - room was stinking, my fault was a quick stopover you get what you pay for - my advice avoid big time

Nice, budget hotel. Location handy as a stopover from or to car ferries. Unfortunately a few of the communal toilets & showers were not working when we stayed there, so at busy time in the morning had to wait for an available shower. Otherwise, no problems.

It's not posh, but it was reasonably priced, the room was adequate, each room has a double bed with a bunk bed above it, so you could sleep 3 people if needed. Has only two plug sockets, so an extension lead would be a good item to have with you, as the TV is in one high on the wall nearer the ceiling than the floor, the other has the much appreciated fridge plugged into it, which is next to the bed. There is a rather noisy glass factory not far away on the other side of the road and a yard full of lorries behind but the double glazing keeps most of the noise out.

Hotel is situated on an industrial park so there is traffic noise such a trucks moving around. The room was very hot as there was only one small window and no other ventilation. No en-suite facilities but available in the corridor. Very cheap and the bed was clean. Useful in an emergency but I'd rather pay a bit more in the future.

I am a budget traveller and not picky about hotels at all, but this place was gross. My room smelled like an old gym sock. The duvet had obviously not been cleaned in a long time. There were big stains all over the carpet and on the walls as well. I had to leave the window wide open and use my sleeping bag because I didn't want to touch the bedding. Not worth the low price.
