The hotel is centrally located and that is about the only nice thing I have to say. The room was tiny (was constantly stepping of my things just to get to the bathroom or the front door). There is no A/C in the entire hotel but they do supply you with a standing fan . . .and not a very good one at that.
We were in a room facing the front and had to keep the windows shut (to keep out the light and sound) so we had to rely on a not well functioning fan that could only be plugged in in one of two outlets in the room. One where our computer was plugged in, or near the front door but the cord was not long enough to cool the room based on that location.
Our first night was so uncomfortable due to the heat and poor fan that we barely got any sleep. My husband decided to sleep in to make up for the lost hours of sleep so housekeeping was unable to make up the room.
Later on that day we asked to move to a larger room but was told that since our room was not made up by housekeeping we couldn't move until the NEXT day since they would not be able to "sell" our room to other patrons (please note that the hotel was NOT sold out). So in other words, since the room was so hot and the fan was not functioning up to par (their fault, not ours) we would have to suck it up for another night before they would move us. Our local friend who had recommended many other people to the hotel tried reasoning with them. . .to no avail. Apparently there was just no reasoning with them.
But we did manage to get another fan out of them that actually had some life in it. And let me tell you. . .it took quite a bit of convincing to get it.
Just thought they could have done better with the customer service. On the same street alone, there were two other hotel. My trip to Roanne, I will be sure to check them both out before I stay at Hotel Terminus again.
