Loved the location right on the river!! The room was fantastic 502 on the top floor with huge jet bathtub overlooking the river!!! Alcides was an exceptional hotel manager and arranged surprise special experiences for us to make our stay extra special. Since the hotel is close to the river, it is also close to the train tracks so bring your ear plugs. They have a beautiful outdoor terrace adjacent to the river. Only negatives were that our room phone was broken and the spa Jacuzzi was disabled for remodeling. But all the positives greatly outweighed any cons!! The whole staff made us feel like VIP: Alcides, Mery, Augusto, Edwin, Diana, Maylin and Sara!!! We even made friends on Instagram with some of the staff, and we will stay here again on future visits.

This hotel is a hidden gem within the beautiful Pueblo of Machu Picchu. I had the most unforgettable stay. They breakfast buffet starts at 5am for all the early hikers which is amazing. All staff speak fantastic English, the customer service was exquisite! I recommend scheduling a message , we did this after our hike it was amazing. The hotel also hold your luggage after check out in the event you want to explore the village or hike that day. Highly recommend getting the room with river view!

Terrible experience

We had an amazing time here at Casa Del Sol. We stayed for 3 nights and the staff (Maylin, August, Sara & many more) were very attentive. They offered to take our laundry to the cleaner and they brought it back to our room for a very small fee. They also gave us amazing recommendations on things to do, places to eat and more. Alcides, the manager, was very friendly and it was nice speaking to a local about the town. Definitely recommend to stay in Aguas Calientes for at least 2 nights! We are very sad to leave. Thank you for treating us so special!

Closest to the bus and train station. It's walkable. So I'd go with it

Lovely property with excellent river view rooms, perfect amounts of white noise to sleep, comfortable beds and hot water. Good food and all reasonably priced. Staff is very kind and helpful. Maria, one of the front desk staff made our experience world class, paying close attention to the most subtle details and helping us at each turn, even if she had other things going on. If we return to Aguascalientes, this is our spot! Muchas Gracias por todo!

LOOK NO FURTHER! If you are visiting Machu Picchu, this hotel is perfect for your trip. They are conveniently located to many restaurants and just outside the Peru Rail train station. But beyond the proximity and convenience, Casa Del Sol is truly a customer-oriented place of business. Upon our arrival at the train station, we had a staff member (Maria) meet us. She walked us to the hotel where we were greeted with a lovely hibiscus tea and warm towel to ease our arrival. The receptionist (Karen) assisted in taking us to our room once it was available and helped us throughout our stay, even signing us for a Pisco Sour course with bartender Fabrizzio! With all the patience in the world, Fabrizzio walked me through how to make a Pisco Sour, the traditional Peruvian cocktail. The restaurant aspect of the hotel is also quite excellent. Carlos, the restaurant manager, does a brilliant job at welcoming the guests and answering any questions that may arise, during breakfast or dinner (if you so choose to dine there). And I cannot forget the Hotel Manager, Alcides. He truly made our stay unforgettable. Even before we stepped foot in Peru, he was able to provide us with a tour guide for our visit of Machu Picchu, who was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. He also recommended places for us to visit and have lunch at! He also will not hesitate to have a chat with you as you are waiting in the lobby to let time pass by! I wish I took more pictures to display, but this hotel is A+++

Great hotel, best sleep I‘ve had in a while. Wonderful breakfast. Only disappointment was that no spa access was included, which has been advertised on Expedia in a misleading way.

The staff was amazing at Casa Del Sol Machupicchu especially Maria&Dina ! They were so thorough and attentive to correct a mistake made ! I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking to visit the area.

The hotel was conveniently located with shops and restaurants near. Bus and train station are very close. The staff, especially Carlos, were very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was healthy and delicious. Bag storage was available while I took the trek to Machu Pichu. Highly recommend you stay. P.S The shower was amazing with great water pressure.

Casa del Sol was for us a hidden gem in Agua Calientes. Hotel sits within 1 minute to the MP busses and is just 5 minutes from train station. A nuce gentleman from hotel was awaiting us at train and helped with luggage to hotel. We received a very warm welcome by the superfriendly hotel staff. We ate twice dinner in hotel (for us unusual), but the food quality is excellent (..try the Lomo Saltado) and service great. Carlos and his team took very great care of us. Our room was clean nice and spacious with a hot tub and splendid views over Urubamba river included! Perfect for our stay. Always again.
