The staff were friendly and helpful. There was one staff member, Allan, who went above and beyond for us. He helped get with getting museum tickets online, cheerfully gave us directions for food and drink, arranged for taxis to pick us up to get to our cruise etc. The free drinks and snacks at happy hour were a nice surprise.

The breakfast was an additional cost but the food was very good and the staff was very accommodating for whatever you wanted to order. There is a free happy hour for hotel guests every day from 4-6 with wine, beer, soda and snacks. The staff was very easily available, kind, and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again if I were to return to the city.

This is a super-cute hotel, with comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom. That said, they never cleaned our room for the 3 days we were there, even after I requested it on the second day. The bathroom is elegant, but there's no shelf to put your toiletries. The wardrobe has good hanging space, but no shelves. If you are staying for more than one day, the place needs some improvements.

Good location. Dated room decor. Very nice staff and a nice happy hour daily. Stairs to the third floor should be considered when booking. Canal view was pretty

Generally loved the room. It's an old wooden building but the view from the top room overlooking the canal is definitely the selling point. Bathroom was compact but well maintained. The main door took some effort to close as it's an old door. Didn't have the breakfast option but I would definitely come back and stay again

Clean room, nice location, no AC, which they did mention from the beginning and that wasn’t an issue as we stayed in early spring

This place worked well for us because we mostly used our room to sleep then were out all day. However, it is very small and many things are outdated. The complimentary happy hour was a huge bonus.

It's semi centrally collated. A quick walk from a metro station and you are there. The staff are fantastic. At night fur a couple of hours there is a happy hour with free beer and wine. Now for the down side. I know it's an older hotel with those crazy stairs that are curbed and steep, but the rooms are in no way sound proofed. In our case, the tv didn't work for our stay, which isn't a big deal because you are good from walking all day... You get my drift though.

Breakfast was simple but well done; staff are really good, very helpful. The stairs are very steep & a bit of an issue if you are on the top floor. Our room to be frank needs a little attention - eg. bit shabby, bed too soft, curtains don't shut properly, privacy blinds don't work

Nice location and easy to reach via Metro underground train from station, plus they have free luggage storage. There's a supermarket just 5 mins walk away. This is our 3rd visit and each time we find the staff really friendly. Happy hour is a lovely bonus and self serve. Didn't experience any noise on back of hotel and be prepared for very steep steps but a great view over the canal.

Excellent location, beautiful room with canal view. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Free drinks for 2 hours a day was amazing! Some areas of the hotel look like they could use a lick of paint, mainly the stairs, but didnt affect our stay negatively at all

We had a wonderful stay. Pilar was excellent—very kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The hotel is perfectly located, making it very convenient to explore the area. They also offer a fabulous complimentary cocktail hour, which was a lovely touch, and the room was very comfortable. My only complaint was that the room was quite warm. The air conditioning was not working, although they did provide two fans that we had to use during our stay. Other than that, everything was excellent and we truly enjoyed our time there.

The duvet had a cover that kept slipping off at night and it was covered in stains. Coffee stains, period or some random blood stains, and some yellowish ones. On the second night when the duvet cover slipped off we asked for a new one and just used that one but it was pretty gross. Other than that everyone was wonderful the staff was great and there was a cute orange cat. The view and location was also wonderful just the stains and the cleanliness was not good.

A little bit further out from the centre, so it is less hectic. 3 min walk from tram4 stop and 10 min walk to Rijksmuseum. No getting away from the stairs so no use if you struggle as these are typical canal house - very steep & narrow. Room clean & large. If you book 1 of the suites , ask for canal side

The room was very cozy, clean and the staff so friendly and helpful. Stunning view to the canal and the bathroom was very spacious and enjoyable. It was a little challenging to go all the way up using the stairs. The steps were very narrow and the room was on a third floor, there is no elevator. It was manageable. I had a pleasant experience.
