The environment is really pretty and tropical, lot of trees . Room is nice, staff very helpful, food is good. The only drawback is it’s kind of far from city. You will need taxi for most of the activities. The hotel is walking distance to DianChi only. Overall, hotel is nice for getaway , but not too convenient if you are here for touring the city

Absolutely gorgeous hotel although so vast, a mobility challenged person might find it daunting. The room was huge and all amenities top notch. The staff were very polite, although as with most hotels in China, one should have a translation app. The cocktail lounge was lovely, with live entertainment by a lovely couple ftom Ukraine. The all day cafe served a wonderful and vast buffet breakfast and dinner. The Teppanyaki restaurant was excellent. Try one of the multicourse set menus. Welcome and departure gift of tins of tea was a nice touch. Highly recommended.

i have an absolutely wonderful stay in Kunming Intercontinental. The staffs are very helpful, especially Stacy Chen and Enzo, they helped me at 8pm to get my Skype working for my meeting at 9pm. They helped me plan my stay in Kunming and I got to visit all the interesting spots in Kunming. The cleaning lady noticed that i did not have a pad for my mouse and she got one for me, very observant and helpful. The hotel is spotless clean and with beautiful garden. The room itself was very spacious and well appointed, spotlessly clean, with beautiful gardens and close to a big lake. It was a wonderful place. Natalie Ng

Very satisfying stay. My only complaint was the tendency for the shower water temperature to fluctuate. Assume it’s a regulator in the room. Did mention to the desk. Otherwise. Would stay here again without reservations

Awesome..Beyond expectations

The hotel is beautiful and the service is perfect. Great breakfast bad coffe ( in China tea is better). But excellent cappuccinos at the lobby.

The hotel is located away from the city centre so it is quiet and has a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and clean. Buffet breakfast has a wide variety of international and local dishes and are all delicious. Most importantly, the staff are courteous and very helpful. The service is top notch and the all in all the hotel is wonderful and is highly recommended.

Sprawling hotel - cold but generally comfortable. Hotel staff from the front desk to the ones serving in the restaurants and lounges are all very kind, helpful and considerate.

This hotel is beautiful and very big. Plenty of walks just to my room. Location is little remote. Require taxi everywhere we go.

Hotel was very clean and rooms were spacious, Staff were friendly and helpful, food was excellent. The only problem was paying, we had to pay separate at the spa and Chinese restaurant and two times the card machine did not work. Basically the problem is they do not trust you even when they have a copy of your credit card.

+ Very spacious and clean rooms. + Hotel has good restaurants for dinner. - no choice regarding breakfast, only buffet style at fixed price. - most staff only speaks Chinese, no other languages.

The hotel was exceptional from top to bottom. Club lounge was amazing with good food and drinks. Breakfast was endless. Hotel staff friendless was amazing. Few people spoke fairly good English and I can appreciate that they are trying to learn. Nothing I could say negative about the hotel. The downtown is about 20-30 mins away within 30RMB. Perfect gateway if you are in Yunnan Province

I never stayed at this chain before and this experience is going to make me try. OUTSTANDING Customer Service. Any little problem, e.g. my breakfast order was lost and they made customer accommodations - gave me a free pass to the business lounge. Business Lounge was outstanding and free. The Breakfast was so overwhelming I actually took pictures and posted to FB.

Hotel was in great condition. Clean and polite service. Location was a little out of the way.
