The hotel is very nice. Unique experience staying in a converted convent. The rooms are very spacious and open courtyard lovely. The spa is a gem. Turkish bath, sauna, steam room. The restaurant offerings were limited without many restaurants in walking. Parking was safe and easy.

Our room was great except for the lighting which could be improved. In particular there is a desk and tea making area in a dark corner under the stairs and there is no light over the desk. I would have liked more power sockets near the bed, The bathroom was good except that there was a lot of space wasted on having two sinks and yet there was no flat surface to put anything on. We moved a bedside table from upstairs to use. We liked the secure parking and enjoyed the breakfast. the restaurant doesn't open until 8.30 pm which I know is not unusual in Spain but it would have been nice to be able to get something to eat in the bar. The hotel is convenient for the town and for going out walking which was our reason for being there.

We booked a SPA hotel but Spa was not operational. The hotel did not inform us before arrival despite knowing about that for several days. When we asked at check-in the person at reception effectively said ‘it’s not our problem’ and was really quite rude and unwelcoming. That was a shame because it created a very poor impression and made us feel unwelcome when there was no need. Simple caring customer service could have handled it. Hats off to Expedia who helped to make amends. As for the hotel, it’s really very nice, but I think it cares more about itself than its customers

The room was clean, but several things mal function: The extra light at the right side of the bed, the light of satellite mirror, the electric towel heater. The TV was ridiculously small and not 'smart', meaning no internet connection and not even bluetooth for mirror image view. It was also on a timer switching of after 3h The spa, one of the main reasons to book that hotel, was not available.

Nice hotel 5 mins from the town center kind and caring staff with good resto.

Stay was good the reception service was excellent so was the service in general, the cleanliness of the room was not so good as the bed was not done properly and there was a lot of dust under the bed noticed when we dropped something and looked under to retrieve it, the gym is in need of drinking water and paper towels to dry up ones sweat which was lacking this, for the remainder the place was very good including the service

Good spa. Free parking. - Not much to see nearby except castle (steep climb but worth it for the views). The excellent caves and town centre are a good walk away and it’s steep, so best to drive. The receptionist and waiter were friendly and helpful the evening we arrived. - However next morning when we skipped the full breakfast and asked for coffee and toast at the bar/cafeteria (as arranged with Reception the previous day) we were served very coldly and without a smile, which left us feeling less welcome.

Dining and bar food very limited but it was the end of the season.

Just stay overnight at this hotel, wished we had stayed longer, beautiful old building, amazingly renovated, rooms are spacious, bathrooms are generous, hotel facilities are amazing, a hidden gem.

Our second stay in the Aracena, and this hotel. Lovely please- great hotel. Located in the centre with parking and a spa and a fantastic breakfast. All in all we had an amazing time.

What an amazing property !! We loved it ! The property has so many little areas to just relax. Lots to explore within the property and also within walking distance of loads of amazing sights. We treated ourselves to a spa session, our only mistake is not booking longer. Such a calm relaxing place to stay. Thank you !

Really enjoyed our stay in this former convent in the center of Aracena. Location is perfect, close to shops, bar and restaurants. Spa facilities were great and very useful after a day walking in la sierra. The room was comfortable although a bit dark.

We have never stayed in such an enchanting hotel. If only we could have stayed longer

Lovely hotel situated in the middle of a very quaint Spanish town. The hotel is a converted monastery and has quite an impressive entrance and bar area. Slightly difficult to find due to the fact that there’s a very confusing one way system … but persevere and you’ll make it. There’s a pool and gym, the pool is a good size and the gym looked well equipped. The room was a good size and the beds comfy. If I had one complaint I’d say the air conditioning unit was a bit noisy. A shot walk will get you into the centre of town and there you’ll find plenty of restaurants to choose from - you can always eat at the hotel… we didn’t. The car park is onsite and very safe.

Difficult with Covid but lovely large room and bed in characterful surroundings and great massage

Lovely hotel with wonderful spacious rooms. It was tastefully decorates for the Christmas holiday season.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Restaurant is not so charming and the food was OK.
