The staff and restaurant meals were excellent. Because we are elderly the only problem for us is that the toilet is very low.

Good location for the town centre, only half an hour walk.

Overall probably good value for money. Restaurant menu was limited and we did not eat in, instead going to the Buffalo Grill a 5 minute walk away. Service was friendly good, with drinks available for reception at a fair price. The standard double room was small, but the bed was comfortable. Self service breakfast was good. Generally the hotel was a little tired.

Ideal location to break your journey from southern France to the ports in northern France. Stayed a number of times & found the hotel as described, easy to find, ample parking, well located; near major road links, petrol stations & restaurants. Breakfast is nice too. Even has a larger pump behind reception!

Check in was a bit different. Was given a room key on entering the room already had people in there with suitcases on the bed. I then went back to reception and was ignored whilst some sort of argument went on with a French lady customer, then another French lady appeared to jump in in front of me. Eventually we were given another room which was very small, although I have to say the bed and pillows were very comfortable. No air conditioning in the room either.

It’s easy to get to, good parking, friendly front desk. Great en-route drop in when travelling and Alencon was a nice surprise, a lovely town. The hotel is a quick drive to the centre. My issue is that, and this hotel is not alone, when I book a room with 3 single beds, I need 3 single beds. If I could make do with a double and a single I would have huge choice but 3 singles is more difficult to find and I booked this hotel because it offered that. So when I turn up please don’t give me a double and a single. I was forced to book another room to accommodate my party.

Worked well for a stop over, nothing special but good value for what it is. Family rooms are two adjoining rooms which work well. Baby cot provided which was handy. Communication up until day of arrival ignored but on day of arrival very quick and helpful.

Very basic hotel and small room. The hotel is in need of refurbishment. The restaurant is closed at the weekend! We ate in the Buffalo Grill which is 2 minutes ago which was very nice and I would recommend. The hotel allows dogs and our room smelt a bit doggy. There was a dog barking in one of the rooms close by which was bad when trying to get to sleep after a long journey. The water in the shower was cold until we ran the sink tap for ages. The heater was under a table which made it difficult to control the temperature and also very dangerous! We found by chance that the table actually moved which made it easier! We only wanted a bed for the night when travelling to Calais to catch the ferry and the hotel was ok but would recommend it for a holiday!

Customers should remember that it is ONLY a two star hotel.

A reasonably priced, friendly and comfortable hotel situated within an industrialised section of Alencon but quiet, well insulated, bedroom with standard facilities for a 2 star hotel, en-suite and large double bed comparable with IBIS.
