Great cost vs benefits. Close to the University. Had dinner and breakfast on-site and really enjoyed the view and food. Bar had a nice ambiance and service, too. Highly recommend.

Hotel Du Vin at St Andrews was absolutely fabulous! The staff were attentive, but not intrusive, helpful and more than ready to share their local knowledge; quite frankly it was an idyllic stay. One comment I feel is warranted is that we booked two rooms with sea views, which were absolutely superb…but if we’d not done so and ended up with a view of the car park I’d have felt a little disappointed I suspect, as the car park area is literally an enclosed quadrangle, so not great tbh. We had breakfast at the hotel each morning, which was first class! In fact the breakfast was so good in terms of quality as well as quantity we couldn’t manage lunch any day we were there, just too full up! The next time we come to St Andrews, Hotel Du Vin will be our preferred choice of stay without a doubt.

Location and bistro

We went for 4 nights golfing and the Hotel du Vin was a brilliant choice of where to stay. Short walk to the Old Course and perfect to walk to bars and restaurants in the evening. Parking was challenging as the town was very busy but once you find a space there is no need to move it until you leave ! Great staff, lovely room and perfect location, will 100% go back.

Staff were very friendly a d very helpful Room upgrade was lovely. Food in restaurant also good. I honestly cannot fault this hotel. I will definitely book again

I liked how close it was to St. Andrews golf course. The beach view was spectacula. Breakfast was very limited. Having more options would make a better experience.

Despite it being a very good hotel, and the staff pleasant, the pricing is not always clear from from the start and one feels one has to ask alot of questions to understand what costs what. We found the extra fee (dog package) for our dog expensive at £25, though we appreciated that a dog bed, bowl and dog treats were prepared for him.
