The room and bathroom were very small. It was difficult to move around inside the room.

The staff listened to our concern about a smell in the room, which was addressed. It was clean. Not very spacious but suited our needs.

This is entered through a doorway then take the lift to 5th floor for the hotel rooms, reception and terrace. Small and basic with no frills but a good option for a budget hotel situated in the heart of the city just a gentle stroll down to Grand Via and on to Sol.

Pros: 24-hour front desk service with great, friendly staff. Cons: the room was incredibly small and I could feel all the springs on my mattress bed. (Room 507). Extremely uncomfortable and hard to get a good night sleep. Also the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything.

Bathroom sink is extra low and tiny. Staff is responsive. LOVELY, spacious outdoor patio for guests to use. Excellent Italian restaurant right across the street + Carrefour is close + nearby Crete coffee is the best with delicious croissants actually prepped in France and more. Our rm was nice size but it was a triple.

The Hostal has a great location. It is close to everything but was inconvenient to get taxi or ride share in and out. The staff are really nice. There is always someone in reception. Room and bathroom was big enough and clean. Beds were comfortable. Towels were provided and change everyday. They clean the room everyday. A price is quite high for the hostel.

Carolina at from desk was amazing

It was on the fifth floor, but it does have an elevator. The room is small but adequate. Perfect for a short stay while in transit.

Great location. For Canadians, two Tim Hortons within a 5 minute walk. ☺️ For those able to walk a mile no problem, most sites within walking distance. The immediate neighbourhood is safe, great for walking, and loaded with places to eat, drink or grab groceries. Take advantage of the free Prado and Reina Sofia (Guernica) hours in an otherwise expensive and busy capital. Hotel was good, staff friendly/helpful; beautiful patio for chilling and planning. As a quibble, I simply don't understand shower stalls without grab bars; I don't know whether this was just my room or all of them, but it makes me nervous.
