An incredibly tranquil and relaxing place. Superb food, friendly and welcoming service. Definitely not a typical resort and all the better because of that. Great dogs too!

Our stay at Kasbah Africa was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble for Sofiane. He worked so hard and went out of his way to welcome us, despite being short of staff after the earthquake. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Recommend the guided walk and cookery.Stunning location and great, clean and comfortable accomodation

We have just returned from a short stay at the Kasbah Africa. A group of nine ladies, we were delighted with the accommodation. Very clean gorgeous rooms, hot showers and excellent plumbing! The surroundings are stunning and the large pool very welcome! The host, Sofiane, could not do enough and was very attentive. We took part in the cookery course, making our own tagine supper and also the Tikhfist Hamlet Hike which was just over two hours and can thoroughly recommend. Sofiane organised all our transfers and was more than happy to assist with any of our requests! One of our party was coeliac and he remembered for every meal. Can thoroughly recommend

Con Artists. Spare yourself the trouble - never ever book with them. They don't even have a receptionist to answer the phone. Once you book with them - you're screwed, buddy. Totally unprofessional, lousy hotel in the boonies

We had a fantastic week af Kasbah Africa at the end of March. The location is stunning with amazing views from both the rooms and the swimming pool and garden. A holiday here can be as active or as relaxing as you want it. There is genuine warmth & hospitality here. We were offered dinner in our room one night as it was pouring with rain, to save us braving the weather outside and we were even invited to try the staff's tagine one lunchtime. Thank you so much Redouan (the manager) and the Kasbah Africa team.

We travelled from Marrakech airport to Kasbah Africa by taxi - the journey was lovely with beautiful views of the mountains. However, we arrived at Kasbah Africa and there was no one there - no other guests at all. Admittedly it was low season but it was still a very unsettling experience. From this point onwards our stay got worse and worse. There are no other restaurants, villages or even tiny stalls where you can buy anything so you have to stay at Kasbah Africa. The prices are very very expensive for the quality and quantity of food. We paid 600dh (approx £55) for 1 tagine, 1 salad, 2 apples and a bottle of wine! Avoid the food at all costs because it’s not worth it! We mentioned to the staff that we were very unhappy with the food but we were told we were wrong and that this was normal... We asked for a discount because it really was very bad and one member of staff got very aggressive with us. If we were female travellers we would have felt very intimidated being there. We planned to stay for 2 nights but we left after the first night because of how bad the service was. There are much nicer places with more friendly staff and more to do in the local area. The location is very beautiful but that is it. Since returning to the UK we have asked for some sort of compensation for the bad experience we had but the company that manages the property has ignored our requests. It’s a shame that we have been forced to write such a negative review as Kasbah Africa has potential.

I spent 5 nights at Kasbah Africa and it was a tremendous stay and experience for the value. The rooms are spacious and charming with wood stoves and offer beautiful mountain views. The home-style cooking is very traditional but delicious. Travelers should understand this isn't a bit of a more rustic getaway - as long as they keep that in mind, they will enjoy their stay and the magical surroundings.

Watch the billing on this hotel. I didn't notice "Additional Charges and Taxes" that almost doubled the cost of the room. I complained and was told it came from the hotel. I questioned the hotel and they said they didn't know. The charge wasn't for the kids, nor are the taxes 90% in Morocco. The host asked the owner and he said he didn't know either, but did nothing about it. In the end it was never resolved. No one cared. The room was way too expensive for what it was as a result. The road to the hotel is dirt and fairly bad, though doesn't need a high clearance vehicle if you navigate properly. Passing oncoming cars requires you to stop and edge by in many places. The hotel is 3km up the road. There is no food nearby except at the hotel. Dinner is 200 MAD, lunch 150. This is very expensive for morocco. There is no menu. If you don't like it you're going into town and driving up the road in the dark which isn't really appealing. This made it difficult with kids. After being ripped off on the room rate I wasn't going to pay 200 MAD for dinner. The host was very helpful and gracious. Probably the best thing about the hotel. The location is beautiful. A river flows below the hotel. It's a relaxing place. But the place is more set up for package tours where everything is included and they company that runs it does this. Nice spot but too difficult and no one resolved my billing issue.

This is the worst hotel I have ever been too. 1. First Impressions of the hotel are that you are totally isolated, there is nothing nearby and you will have to make up your own activities. 2. The hotel manager informs you there is no clean drinking water and we would have to buy drinks from the hotel. But we were told “you will be provided with a jug of water to brush your teeth”. In our case this jug of water never arrived and when we asked for water then they offer to sell us bottled water at a premium. 3. The safe in the room did not work even though they warned in the leaflet that you should lock your valuables away so as not to tempt the staff. 4. On arriving in our room we were greeted by a pack warning us of local dress code. 5. The beds were uncomfortable on a double bed two mattresses were at best rubbish and broken. When raised to the manager we were informed it was not a problem for him. 6.The swimming pool was dirty 7. The Kitchen resembled a kitchen from an episode of “Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares” Upon Raising concerns the hotel manager informed us we could move to another location within the group only for the following to occur: Check Out Hidden Costs and very questionable Taxi Charges and exchange rates. The Manager informed us we will be relocated we left the hotel more like refuges than holiday makers however happy to escape the hotel, its staff and its UK owners. Only for them to dump us on the roadside in Marrakech no hotel and a lot of hidden charges

It is located in the secluded area at the bottom of Atlas mountain. The room was spacious and ethnically furnished. Even a telescope was placed for star gazing at night. The place feels like it was trying to conserve and sustain the surrounding nature and the livelihood of the local community. The manager says that most of furnitures and food ingredients were locally produced. However, there are a few downsides. Wifi is not available from the room. When dining, there is a daily set menu (200MAD/15GBP per person) without choice. hotels.com booking stated all taxes were included in the price but we were charged 55MAD extra upon checkout. The manager was friendly but kept on asking for a tripadvisor review for each one of us till we left the site.
