The Dream Hotel is in a great central location in the old district, within easy walking distance of cafés, and restaurants. But the experience is very basic. There is no elevator, and getting to our room required climbing several steep staircases with luggage. The staff did offer to help. The building feels old and uneven, with noticeably sloped floors, and the room itself was sparse and dated. There was also a strange, artificial deodorizer smell, like a car air freshener, that never quite went away. The pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable, and overall the space felt more worn than charming.
On the positive side, the staff was friendly and the location is excellent for sightseeing. Just go in with realistic expectations: this is a budget crash-pad in a good location, not a place you book for comfort.
