(N/B: I travel 2x a year to austria and I know the area.)
Booked online, that was ok via expedia. Site said no need to reconfirm. So I didn't- big mistake.
*There was no reception, just a number. Start of all the problems, and the main cause of it. My card had not been processed for some reason- there was no fault with my card, no money had been taken out. No problems identified- and the booking web site should have forwarded my email. I did not receive an email with any problems from hotel.
*difficult to find due to small sign, which had a number on it- nothing else other than name of hotel.
*called number, - this only goes through to a staff members mobile, and staff did not pick up numerous times. 3rd time lucky.
*They told me money didn't go through and they were not expecting us.
*After1/2 hr waiting outside the door of the property in the cold, someone came to let us in.
* everything seemed in order- until we tried the tv, which did not work- because no signal. Also wifi code given incorrectly by staff member, these matters took over 24 hrs to resolve. Plus multiple phone calls.
*staff had to come back next day to take payment by the card \i had originally put through the internet, and a technition had to come and fix the tv.
*Communication and organization was very poor from start to finish.
* check out time was 10am and they had the nerve to knock on the door 10 mins early.
*booked a non smoking appartment and someone next door smoked and the smoke came into our flat
