What’s beautiful spot for a stay in Uppsala. This hotel is located in historic area within a few minute walk to the cathedral, botanical gardens, museum and more! Waking around is absolutely gorgeous as if you are strolling through old tiny cobble stone streets. The hotel itself has gorgeous views to the cathedral which is so beautiful lo look in the day time and at night. Every morning hotel breakfast is served tight near the reception area in their cozy cafe. All the staff was very polite and more than helpful on many occasions. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning a visit to this beautiful historic town in Sweden.

I have stayed in May hotels in Uppsala and this is my favorite.

Overall, our stay at Akademi Hotellet was wonderful. The rooms are comfortable, the location is perfect, the breakfasts nice and the staff was awesome. The only downside is the tiny bathrooms. But then it is a very old building and the conversion into a hotel was what they could make of it. Overall, enjoyed our stay as it was close to many of the most interesting attractions in Uppsala.

We were able to do a load of laundry!! No charge!

Lovely hotel in great location, just across from University and within walking distance to everything Uppsala has to offer. Lovely deck out the back to enjoy an evening drink and lovely breakfast area with a superb breakfast with lots of very fresh options. Very friendly staff

Very stylish independent hotel located right by all of the main sites in central Uppsala. Very friendly staff, comfortable rooms and great breakfast! Would definitely try to book here on my next visit, highly recommended

This is a wonderful, cozy, small hotel. It's located within walking distance of everything, and very reasonably priced. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful. Our rooms were facing the front street (vs the more scenic back cathedral view), but it was still very quiet. Also, the 2nd and 3rd floors have a couple of small lounge areas, and a cute tiny outdoor balcony facing the cathedral, in addition to a larger rear patio area. Even though it's a smaller hotel, there is an elevator for those who need it, and even a small fitness room with sauna. Main reception area has a lounge with several toilets as well. We thought it was charming to see the staff picking wildflowers outside for the tables. The staff does leave at 10pm and return early in the morning for breakfast, but that wasn't an issue for us at all. Breakfast buffet had some vegan options which I greatly appreciated. While the common areas are air conditioned, there isn't air conditioning in the rooms, but a fan is provided, and we were comfortable, as the temperature was mild in mid June. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Uppsala.

Had a beautiful view of the cathedral

Had a great stay for a week long meeting being held at the old main academic building at the University of Uppsala. That's about a two minute walk from the hotel. My room was on the upper floor, clean and tidy, a bit small, but just slept there and not much else. Breakfast daily was excellent with fresh bread, and good coffee. Staff was super friendly.

Very nice, cozy room. Good location- walking distance to the University and Botanical Gardens. Hotel breakfast was wonderful. Close proximity to bars/pubs and center of city.

This was a wonderful and romantic stay, my husband and I had an amazing time. The view of the church from our room was stunning, and the restaurant on the corner had the most amazing fish and chips I've ever had! The hotel staff were very nice, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. 10/10 would recommend.

The only disappointment was they didn’t have back to go with the breakfast eggs,as normal.

Super cute view from the room, walkable area with lots to look at and do. The hotel is very clean, nice shower and heated floors in the bathroom. Close to the train station. The breakfast was pretty good as well.

Amazing stay, breakfast was super lovely, pastries bread pancakes eggs bacon cheese , really enjoyable Bathroom was super small but still nice, bed was comfortable No coffee or tea in the room but available downstairs for free upon request Best overall for me was the bathroom products… I had to buy the bath and hair gel
