A highland resort hotel at the foot of the Kuju mountain range. The cottage-style guest rooms are lined up on a gentle slope and come in a variety of styles, including Japanese-Western style rooms, Western-style rooms, and rooms with observation decks and terraces. The hot spring, known as the "beauty bath," is perfect for enjoying in the large bath, Benikara no Yu, which has an atmosphere reminiscent of a hot spring resort, and the four private baths, each with an open-air bath. There are also activities (fees apply) such as horse riding and morning nature walks

Rustic hotel with traditional onsen feel! Great service and marvelous food we had during the stay, not forgetting we could experience to grind and do a pour over coffee in our own comfort! Felt the rooms could have been better if it’s refurbished (toilet, sink). Love the yogurt from the dairy farm which is just next door.

Disappointing for a 3 stars hotel. The positive points are the spectacular scenery around on Kuju mountains, and the access to the onsen…also the restaurant Meteor was very good. The negative points are the hotel itself, it feels not cared, dark, the rooms are not convenient, and the overall cleanliness is quite disappointing.

room was big and nice and the same as the picture on the website when we made the booking. staff were friendly and one of the younger staff spoke good english and also helped our to reserve the sites for a restaurant we would visit the next day. dinener was normal and breakfast was 3.5/5 i would say. they provided a "star watching" activity at night if sky is clear and at the night we stayed in many other japanese customer joined the activity which we just went to the car park and watched. overall a very nice stay :)

Excellent lodge with great staff and facilities. Their French cuisine was superb, kudos to the chef. The onsen was very good, with natural spring water. The only drawback was that we had to carry our luggages up and down stairs.
