We booked a large room but the receptionist gave us a small one. When we called the receptionist to complain, they denied it and refused to acknowledge our reservation. They continued to deny it even after we checked the room. They made us go up and down the stairs multiple times to change the room key card and didn't assist us. The security guard was arrogant, glaring and giving us dirty looks even though we hadn't done anything wrong. A very bad experience in Hanoi.

Negative points: The reception staff were very unfriendly, lacking in warmth and respect for customers. The bathroom lacked a fan, had an illogical design, was stuffy and very smelly. My family stayed for 3 days and couldn't stand the smell. The bathroom door and cabinets were old and broken. The sink was covered in black mold and didn't seem to be cleaned. Both shampoo dispensers were labeled "shampoo," but there was no shower gel. Breakfast was average, and the coffee was cold despite the use of a warmer. The bed was small and uncomfortable. The elevator was slow and we had to wait a long time. Positive points: Convenient location near Ho Guom Lake, Long Bien Bridge, the Historical Museum, and the Old Quarter. In short: For this price range, many places offer cleaner rooms and better food.

The location is indeed close to the city center and convenient for getting around, but the service is terrible. When I called to confirm, the staff were extremely unpleasant and spoke loudly whenever I asked a question. The receptionists had a similar attitude upon check-in. The breakfast was bad and cold. The rooms and facilities are old and run-down.

If you look for a place to stay just for sleeping and go around the old quarter, Hong Ha Hotel is fine for that. Other than that, could not expect more about this place.

The hotel room ' s soundproofing is very poor, I can hear whatever noise they make at the hall, and the staff is impolite.
