This charming hotel is in the center of the town. The shopping and dining is very convenient and walking distance. The hotel staff is friendly and the property is clean and in great shape. I liked the terrace, lobby, elevator and shower the best. The only downside is there really is no parking. Everything else is excellent.

The FRONT staff need more training not very friendly or helpful. The rooms have no A/C only a fan with a very small window with made the room really hot. You need a reservation to eat at the hotel restaurant, also the food was ok and staff a no. The only good thing was the location of the hotel.

The location of the hotel was ideal being in the centre of the city. The only drawback to this location is the late night, early morning reverie of the party crowd. Other than that, the stay was perfect.

Clean room although small. Rooms were hot, but at least there was a fan. Front desk staff could be friendlier. When asked about where a museum was located front desk staff was unaware. Cleaning staff were friendly.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel San Diego in Guanajuato! The location couldn’t be more perfect—right in the center of the city, surrounded by great restaurants, bars, and all the main attractions. It made sightseeing so easy and convenient. The hotel itself is lovely, clean, and full of charm with a touch of old-world elegance that fits perfectly with the city’s historic vibe. The staff was friendly and helpful, and everything felt comfortable and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again next time I visit Guanajuato!

Cozy

The location is fantastic, in the middle of the main old town square. Staff was very accommodating and when we had an issue with the safe not functioning or a request for an extra blanket, they were very prompt in fulfilling and resolving our requests. Parking was very restricted, but they had offsite parking that they readily helped us get to and get us back to the hotel. Would definitely stay there again. Since it is right on the main square would definitely suggest ear plugs this time of year due to the many celebrations that are ocurring.

The room was ok. Ironing board, but no iron. No basics like a hair dryer or coffee pot. But the room was spacious and very good location.
