Pros - Friendly and efficient staff, bed very comfortable, breakfast quite good, complementary wine at checkout. Cons - sensor over bed has annoying red leds which flash all night. Curtains difficult to open.

Fabulous hotel & spa about an hour south of Madrid, within the countryside & with vineyards & olive trees as a backdrop. Outdoor swimming pool in the grounds & various other activities which we didn’t have time to use. Given two bottles of their own wine on checkout... nice touch.

An excellent hotel for our family to stop. The hotel is about 5 hours from the ferry at Santander so it was a convenient stop to our drive further South. We were warmly greeted and given clear instructions. Our rooms were spotless and well appointed, nice to have a small refrigerator to cool our drinks for the next day's journey. Food was served from 9pm and we had an excellent meal on the large terrace (My steak was particularly welcome). We all slept well in the silent surroundings and were fully refreshed. Breakfast (from 8am) was excellent and the Covid-friendly serving arrangements were very reassuring. Alas we didn't have time to look at the extensive wines available in the attractive shop but this hotel has been added to our list for future visits and we may well stop for 2 nights to make the most of the tour and Spa availability. Some people may struggle to find the location but we had no difficulty. When travelling South pass Tarancón and pick up the A40 towards Cuenca - The hotel is on the right at the first main junction on a smaller road

Thoroughly enjoyed though the thermal pool was closed (unaware when booking) and the winery was not open for visits (again not aware when booking). However food and wine excellent and very pleasant staff.

Stayed here to use as a base to explore a couple nearby cities. Ok in that regard, but there are probably better the facility is reasonably nice, however, no doormen or anyone to help with luggage Staff has very limited english skills. For a wine destination, the tasting was really limited...They have a shop adjacent to check in. We were told they had a "couple of bottles" open we could try. Was really interested in their whites. none were open. They opened one bottle for us, but it was rather warm and did not present well. The brochure advertised hourseback riding excursions, tours to area sites, and a gastronomy tour...when we asked about those, the front desk sort of shrugged her shoulders. The restaurant situation was weird. They have a bar menu and bar area which is fine. the main dining room is spanish hours 11 to about 3, and then reopens for dinner 9-11. Just the way things are done in europe. What was really disappointing was the friday night, with reservations, the dining room was closed, and dinner was served in the adjacent breakfast area. Why??? On saturday, they had a huge party and mothers day to prepare for, so the bar menu was not available. Basically, you could get some olives or potato chips snacks with drinks, but nothing more to eat unless you a) wanted full dinner and b) could wait until 9. Overall, I think they are starting up, and really focused on the spanish clientele rather than europe / international.

Have stayed before and was very impressed but I was not as impressed this time! Generally the facilities have deteriorated. The waitress in the bar was very helpful.

Booked as a stop-over en route to San Sebastián and were so pleased we did. Bought a couple of cases of wine after sampling with tapas. Service very good, room clean and comfortable. Did not use the spa but would have had a swim in the outdoor pool if the weather had been better. Look forward to visiting again.

Our room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and many toiletries provided. We had a room overlooking the garden and swimming pool, very pleasant. Good food and very good wines, also very reasonably priced compared to prices England. A good place to have an overnight stop and stock up with wine from the shop. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Stayed one night here in March 2015 as a stop off on way from ferry in Bilbao to Almeria. Fantastic place, not easy to find without good directions. Don't rely on SatNav, found it with Google maps though. Please not the hotel sign just says Estikada. Lovely, welcoming staff, good restaurant and very good, cheap wine. It is a bodega as well and I took a few bottles with me. My room was spacious, spotless and had the most comfortable hotel bed ever. Lovely countryside views from the large windows. I'll definitely be staying here again. The hotel has a nice spa, which I did not have time to try out, as I arrived hungry at nearly 9:00pm. They also do a tour of the winery and the estate. The hotel was good value for money all round. It would be best if you have more time to stay than I did.

We travelled from Santander to here, delayed crossing unfortunately which meant we were trying to locate hotel in the dark, GPS was not great, but once discovered worth every penny. Staff could not have been more pleasant, room was immaculate, surprise complimentary bottle of wine, water in th fridge, massive bathroom, with all amenities you needed for overnight stay. We enjoyed it so much we would like to go back for a weekend. We had a meal in the restaurant which was well presented, not your run of the mill fast food outlet, much more upmarket. There are spa facilities if you want them also. The breakfast was continental with plenty of choice. We enjoyed a much needed rest after the long journey from Portsmouth.
