In my room the bed was made up with clean sheets but once I sat on the mattress I could feel the springs. the bathroom had a leaking ceiling in front of the toilet. the refrig was not plug in neither the microwave. the tv I had to use the tv settings not the remote. But the lady was nice she should sale it, she and I talked and she has lost her husband and she is alone with this property did get the ADA room the chair was unsafe to sit on but I like the shower

The room was old and outdated. shower. Broken stained carpets, a very strong smell of bleach, not worth the money. We did not stayed.

I’m so mad at Expedia for recommending a roach motel. Hairs left everywhere in the room, including in the shower. Weird stains everywhere. Burn holes in blanket. Moldy/ crusty shower door.

At check in, the older woman was looking at my license saying it was not me. Then she says she has to charge me more than originally told. My children and I were very tired, just wanted to hurry and get the room key. Room 115. Couldn’t find it. Finally found it next to a mechanical closet and tossed out sitting chair. Once inside, we noticed the door only had a bottom lock where I just opened with my key. There was no safety latches. No deadbolt. We did not feel safe. The TV was broken. The windows were barred. My husband decided to talk to the older lady to see if there was another room. The older lady said no one has complained about not having a deadbolt and safety latches. She degraded my husband by saying if you don’t understand, the housekeeper speaks Spanish. My husband expressed we do not feel safe, The older lady said you can find someplace else and I’ll offer refund. So we left the room with our belongings, went to get our refund. The old lady denied ever offering a refund. Then proceeded to charge me for the second night, even though it was a separate booking. At check in, she said I would have to come back tomorrow and register the second separate booking, but proceeded to charge me, even though we are leaving. She said that we can take it up with our bank. I would never recommend this place to anyone.Very sheisty, degrading, untrusting of people and very aggressive old lady. We ended up staying at Best Western Ventura Pier. Would highly recommend them.

Bed bugs cockroaches a little remote control didn't work. The TV didn't work. There was black mold in the bathroom. The door didn't lock. Wouldn't go back

Clean comfortable bed, hot shower, microwave, cold mini fridge, coffee maker, working TV with DirecTV. Good locks and blackout curtains. Nice reception lady. It was quiet on a Saturday night. Safe area. The parking lot does fill up later, if you leave you'll lose your spot so just walk or taxi to downtown, it's a 10 minute walk. Also walkable to Ventura pier/beach. The Kwikimart store across the street is very convenient but overpriced fyi. Good close casual dining options for fish tacos and Mexican food literally a block away: Spencer MaKenzie's Fish Co. and my personal fave, Corrales #1. It was a good stay! :)

I'm afraid to say that staying here was a terrible experience. For the price (around $100/night per room), we didn't expect much, but what we got was fairly appalling. The rooms REEKED of cigarette smoke (even though according to the front desk all rooms are non-smoking) so even though we left our clothes in the car we still stunk of smoke in the morning. An issue that was exacerbated when the shower in one room wouldn't turn on. Both rooms were dirty, the bathroom floor in the other room was consistently and inexplicably wet, and the overall vibe was off-putting and vaguely unsafe. 0/10. Makes Motel 6 look like The Four Seasons.

Staff was nice but I got bit a lot at night by bugs. The sheets on the mattress were torn and the bed was super creaky

Not what we expected, good location however it definitely needed a deep cleaning

What a dump! My room reeked of cigarettes! The sheets had stains! Everything in the room was rusted. The towels were old and musty! Disgusting! Don’t stay here!!

The staff was very nice. It was clean but very outdated, the TV didnt work and nothing has been updated in a long time. Location is good, as its close to downtown and the pier and fairgrounds.

There’s a cockroach in my room. What else is there to say? However, the woman at the front desk was very nice.

Get what you pay for...roaches

Honestly the rooms are pretty clean. But old and beat up for sure. the price was great, And it's like a block and a half from the pier and downtown. There's a fish taco place right down the street. A pizza place. Ventura is amazing.
