Really awful

There were issues with the plumbing if the bathroom and toilet and therefore there was a terrible smell in the room. When the reception was informed about the issue they did not offer an alternative room or even tried to fix the problem. Instead they responded to the complain: "if you do not like it, you can leave without any refund"

Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Close to tram, train and marmaray stations. Walking distance to all major attractions

Good hotel not bad. Good location, next to shop stores and attractions.

Horrible noise and was told about it only after I paid. It will be ongoing for a month at least. Location is ok but you can get same or better for same price or less. inefficient house keeping, no massage centre, just a freelancer from outside who is too old and do not keep appointment, was suppose to arrive in 5 minutes and when I checked after one hour was told not available and the receptiin did not bother to tell me. Most of the staff do not speak English. room relatively small and furniture is a bit old. Poor lighting. Spots on towels. High pillows.

very clean, fabulous breakfasts, staff very helpful and polite. You get a good nights sleep as in quiet neighbourhood. excellent customer service.

We finished our 10 day stay in Turkey with 2 nights here, and we really liked it. They had the best breakfast spread of any hotel we stayed in, the staff was friendly, the hotel was beautiful, and the shower was roomy and excellent. The only thing that was off about the room was the design of the room included a padded, recessed alcove clearly meant to fit the queen size bed in the room. However, the owners apparently decided to cram one more twin bed into the room, so they moved the queen bed flush against one wall, the twin bed flush against the window, thus making the alcove look empty and useless. That said, we loved the place, and would stay there again.

terrific location with a great staff. cannot think of a better place we could have stayed during our week in Istanbul.

I booked a room for 3 peoples and I was offered double standard bed with 3 meter by 3 meters space room where you can just sleep only one person there is no more room and also shower and toilets shared with other gust

The hotel is old and has construction next to it. The room are not well insulated so you can hear what others are doing. If your room is on the first floor there is no elevator....

This is convenient place to stay in Istanbul. It's a short walk to Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, The Blue Mosque, and the Bascilica Cistern in one direction and the Spice Market and tour boat docks in the other. There are great restaurants within a few hundred feet and a market on the corner. The tram station is a couple of blocks away. The hotel is comfortable and the staff are helpful. The only complaint was breakfast, which was the most disappointing of any place we've stayed.

Overall the hotel is nice but the hotel manager is definitely sexist. Usually I'm insensitive of this kind of thing and I know in a Muslim country things like that can be common, but I never felt it during my 2-week travel in Istanbul. Initially I thought communication breakdowns were to account for a few unpleasant incidents that arose one by one. However my husband had a hunch that it was because the manager has different treatment towards women. And it turned out my husband was right. As long as communication with the manager was carried out by my husband (instead of me as in the previous cases), everything was perfectly fine. As for hotel facilities, budget room 502 is ok, budget room 505 is bad and superior room 202 is worst. Yes, we stayed in three different rooms during our stay due to the communication breakdowns I just mentioned! Overall nothing is special about this hotel except you get one time free use of hamam for every three nights of stay. Yet, the hamam provided was again nothing special. A word of caution, if you are sensitive of sexism and it makes you feel uncomfortable, avoid this hotel. Even if you are not, let your husband or boyfriend make any requests and deal with the manager if needed to save any possible hassle.
