Love the retro theme ! Clean, great staff, beats the chain hotel hands down. Highly recommend !

We always stay at the Retro Inn while coming through Cortez (going on 22 years!). Staff always friendly. Rooms always clean and comfortable. Pet friendly!!! They just put in a small dog run. Perfect!

The room was so cute! I loved the retro theme and how they kept many of the original details like the original pink tile in the bathroom and the penny tile on the floor, to the original “do not disturb” slide on the door and the room key on the large keychain with our room number on it. There is even a working phone booth on the premises. The room was clean and smelled like clean laundry! The bed was ultra comfy. This is a must stop if you are in the area!

Cute place!! It’s very apparent that this place is loved. Sweet little details everywhere. Outdoor seating and a games like lawn chess etc. The room was comfy and larger than I expected.

Overall had a pretty good stay. Most of the staff were friendly. Someone in our group had a room with a bad ac and they were quick to remedy their situation. Rooms were clean. Free breakfast was about what was expected, pretty typical continental, but made it nice to not have to go buy breakfast every morning. Beds were ok, but not great. I've slept on better beds at other places. That's probably the only let down.

We had a great stay. Loved the outdoor areas that we could all sit and visit. The game room was fun for the teenagers and adults. It was nice being close to Mesa Verde and Durango.

Traveled with granddaughters. Enjoyed the retro experience. Had fun playing foosball and large chess. Liked that you can park right outside your room. Employees were friendly. In Cortez,we would stay here again.

Really fun!!! This is the kind of place you should arrive early and stay until its ✔️out time. Game room, giant chess game, and Elvis is sitting out front! We stayed in the Gadsby Cottage- tres bon !

This was a great little motel in a good location. The retro motif was fun. The only complaint is that the breakfast was pretty poor. If it is going to be a cold breakfast it could use some more options

Each of the rooms which were numbered by year had posters of hit movies from that year, which I thought was charming.

The decor was so 1960s! We loved all the common spaces where we could sit and enjoy are time.

The Retro look took us back in time! Parking in front of our room was so convenient. We were in the Elvis room and the wallpaper was so great! The room was clean and bed comfortable. Pet friendly with a dog run. Take out at Farm Bisto was delicious! About 11/2 miles down Main St….20 min from Mesa Verde National.

This motel was very nice! The staff were great. We used the grill one night and it worked well. The only thing that was a negative for us was that it says they have a playground on Expedia, but they don’t. They just have a set of hanging porch swings. Luckily, that was satisfactory enough for my 3 yo.

Loved the theme room. Especially the glow in the dark Star Wars wall paper. Would recommend to anyone traveling.

The property appears to be super old, but it was very well maintained and great for us with two small kids. Very clean (even for my picky wife), good breakfast, good location, and I would recommend it as a great value for the price. Got to show our daughter a phone booth and land line phone, both of which she has only seen on shows.

People were friendly and staff was very certious and helpful. Will definitely stay here again

We have stayed at this place a couple times over the years, and will definitely stay again. It’s always very clean, everyone is friendly, and we love the cozy feel of the property.
