The property is wonderful-staff if welcoming and friendly. It is an older building and it shows but still great. Love older architecture! Only issue was somehow we were double booked and we didn’t realize this until we checked in-so missed the means to cancel before that time. Still we had no idea we were listed with two reservations. Hopefully, this will not cause us to pay for two rooms since we only needed one! Will not be happy if we are penalized for two rooms!

Just a great stay. Right next door to the art venue. Great pub downstairs and the whole staff was so friendly. Would look forward to coming back

Very old property. Noisy heater. Noisy band until 11. Breakfast was ok. Room was below average

Close to Penn College. Lots to see, good food everywhere. Room was very clean.

The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed conversations with the bartender. Breakfast was great. This is obviously an older hotel but that makes it charming and fun.

The pictures show a lovely hotel yet we were assigned a filthy, outdated room that was disgusting—-basically in a motel attached to the historic building. Not at all like the pictures. We were told we were assigned that room because we booked through hotels.com. Beware! Never again! Gross! Grime in corners. Beat up pressed wood furniture. No hot water. The worst!

The service was exceptionally good - the front desk was so welcoming and informative. The breakfast buffet was the best we have ever had in this type of hotel - lots of choices you don't usually see. The area around the hotel has restaurants and bars and the restuarant/bar at the hotel is nice too.

It is turn of the 20th century hotel, that tips its hat to the charm of that era and the rich past it had. The bar area is fantastic (cheap drinks) and come the summer, you cannot beat the location. The breakfast buffet is really one of the best in the area and included free if you stay.

Great staff and service, historic hotel, clean, and great location!

It was a nice day, however, the mattresses are in dire need of replacement. My wife and I slept in the middle of our kings size bed, because we kept rolling into it from the edges. We were only there for a night so I didn’t make any sense to get downstairs and complain.

For a 100 year old hotel, it was well maintained and charming.

Location is fantastic, but the hotel/guest rooms have seen better days. The rooms smell of stale smoke, are very outdated, drafty and have poor quality furnishings.
