The room itself was clean and properly maintained. We were assigned a handicapped suite on the main floor, so there are always pluses and minuses associated with that.
On the plus side, lots of room to get around. On the down side, everything is configured for wheelchair access, and as a non-handicapped person, that was something I didn't need. So because of the configuration of the room, you don't have a normal closet, the bathroom mirror is angled down which makes use from a standing position a bit awkward. It's not enough to warrant complaint, as the room is fit for purpose if you need a handicapped suite. I only mention these things because if you don't need them and get assigned a room like this, you may want to request being relocated to another room in the hotel.
One thing that was nice about the room is that it had outside access to parking directly outside the room, so you can back right up to within a meter of the door. Easy to load and unload luggage and passengers.
The one thing I give this chain credit for is that they do a decent breakfast service. The food is well prepared and a reasonable amount of options available. One of the things I really like is the automatic pancake making machine. Not the greatest pancakes in the world (don't expect tall, fluffy cakes... they're pretty flat), but it's a nice change from the typical "make your own waffles" station you find in most hotels of this type.
I'd certainly recommend this location.
