Rooms were very small and lack of places to hang jackets and put luggage. However very clean, design elements felt luxury. Great breakfast!

Room was clean but very warm and difficult to control with just opening a small window. Staff was courteous and helpful. Parking was plentiful and close. Large breakfast buffet was really good. Location was perfect. Very nice stay.

Clean and tidy hotel

We stayed for one night, two seniors, nice vibes in the facility. However, the room was quite small as we have three suitcases, nice breakfast. There was construction underway at the property as well as a new project under construction, don’t recall any information be provided in advance

Very clean and quiet. Right in the center of the downtown area. Ample parking and a very good breakfast included.

Our bedroom had a wall view but it was beautiful remodeled. The lounge and the breakfast buffet were amazing with a wide variety of options. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The shower curtain is useless and the shower soaked the entire bathroom. Room was very small but nice.

The breakfast at Hotel Akureyri was fantastic! Waffles, eggs, fresh bread and rolls and fresh fruit among other delicious goodies! The hotel was in walking distance to many activities in the area and the staff was super helpful in finding a place for dinner. The rooms were very nice. The only negative side to this hotel was a lack of laundry service. When I booked this hotel in July 2025 for an April 2026 visit, the booking site said Hotel Akureyri had laundry services. They did not. But the rest of my visit there was amazing

Very clean and modern room (second floor in the outer building), comfy beds and great TV. Very small for two people travelling but ideal for one night. Shame there was no kettle to make tea, only a coffee machine. Bathroom was brilliant and shower was very powerful with lovely shampoo and body wash provided. Walls were quite thin as you could hear people plugging their phones in next door. But overall very quiet area. Modern and clean hotel overall. Would stay again 👍

Wonderful 3 night stay. The hotel was modern with an excellent bar and breakfast room/restaurant. Staff were polite and helpful. Ideal location. Close to harbour for boat trips and 40 minute walk along the fjord to the airport.

Hótel is amazing. Loved the design and cosy feel of the hotel. This is by far the best hotel we stayed in all week. We done the ring road so have stayed in a different hotel each night. You can walk to many restaurants as well. Will definitely come back to this hotel. Great breakfast as well.

Comfortable warm room, quiet location. Downstairs is a cosy lounge/bar. Breakfast was included & they offer a dinner service. Five min walk to the town centre & close to the bus stop for the airport bus.

Had a lovely stay here for New Year. The hotel had a lovely vibe about it and smelt gorgeous as you walked in. Wish I knew what it was. Staff were friendly, the hotel was clean and very well located. My only little niggle was that we had a coffee machine in the room but no kettle to make tea. Not everyone is a coffee drinker. And after a long day walking about in the cold I longed for a nice cuppa and chill. Overall we throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Good location with options for dinner. Easy check-in and check-out. Breakfast had good options and started at 7am.
