Excellent location and friendly staff. Lounge area is a fun place to hang out and the kitchen is big and well-resourced.

Although i wasnt well acquainted with the staff as I tend to keep to myself, they were very accommodating and helpful.

Friendly staff, great location, great value for the price. Only thing is that the mattress/pillow/duvet were a bit worn down.

Great staff. Great location. It was a bit inconvenient to be locked out between 11 and 3 pm, but got used to that after a few days.

It's a big hostel. The room was nice but lack of storage space. The kitchen and lounge were spacious but pretty crowed all the time. If you prefer quiet place, probably here is not for you. But overall here is nice and reasonable price.

Wonderful location! Fun and quirky. My only issue was the showers. They need better drainage and/or a place to put clothes - especially if the shower rooms are mixed sex

I booked a private room. It was very small and bed was hard pillows too. It was noisy but doable. The shared bathroom is coed with two showers and three sinks. No amenities and for the price I paid I would not recommend.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, even when we arrived late at night, and the quirky decor was great fun. We wished we had more time to spend to enjoy the squashy sofas, tv, books- even guitars and pianos to use, but were too busy seeing Edinburgh. The simple breakfast on offer for £1.90 was excellent value. There was a good mixture of ages and nationalities staying when we did. The only people I wouldn't recommend this hostel to would be those who can't manage a lot of stairs.
