Stayed in July 2025, The property is exceptionally well maintained, clean, and clearly cared for with great attention to detail. The business owner and staff are kind, helpful, and genuinely friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt very welcome throughout. It's definitely highly recommended — and honestly, worth far more than what we paid. The location is also very convenient for exploring anywhere around the Barossa.

Not enough blankets and cold heating not adequate

The community element is unique. I do love what the new owner is doing/planning in the wellness space. We stayed in the spa suite and found the space roomy, the bed comfy and the spa easy to use.

We had a late in the day booking for this property & Elizabeth went above & beyond to ensure we had good accessibility. Welcoming lights were on & newly renovated room was very comfortable. Would stay there again.

The room was quiet and tidy, with beautiful surroundings—ideal for a short stay. However, the bathroom and shower area were quite narrow, and the shower curtain kept clinging during use, which was rather uncomfortable. Better maintenance is recommended.

It was clean, friendly staff, quiet except we could hear the people upstairs their TV was loud and we could hear them use the facilities.

Room had just been refurbished and in the main a great upgrade particularly the shower facility. Two comments that are not meant to detract too much from the upgrade are the room was freshly painted and the paint fumes were overpowering (maybe a day or two airing would have been better) also in the new configuration there is no over bowl shaving mirror.

Wonderful 3 nights stay. Originally intended only one night on our way to WA but found there was so much more than we expected in the Barossa. Thankfully this is not an average boring motel. Palm Springs neon signs throughout give everything a mid century glitzy glamour and we loved it. Elizabeth and staff were great hosts, made our Easter stay relaxing. A must do are those amazing massage chairs in the spa room. Pop on the scented eye mask and let the magic happen. We hope to return one day. Thank you Elizabeth

Staff went the extra mile and couldn't do enough for us. Motel is tastefully decorated

Room was not suitable for accommodation. Looked like a storage room for equipment (icy plunge bath). No curtains on bathroom window. Plastic leaves over bed. No where to put clothes (hanging space or drawers). Staff on day of arrival did their best (connected TV etc) but you need to refurbish this room before using again.

Newly renovated tastefully

The new owner, Elizabeth, was very helpful, friendly and approachable. She bought the motel at the end of 2024 and is slowly improving it. The business and buildings had been a little tired when I visited 12 months previously, but already are noticeably better. The reception area is now a brighter, larger and more welcoming area to greet first arrival; though there are some facilities that still need maintenance such as the guest washing machine that I noticed was out of order, but not important for me. The new new owner has valid logical ideas for improving the business further, so the motel may be worth your consideration when visiting Nuriootpa and the Barossa valley.
