We’ve stayed at The Edgewater for 5 years now for the HawkesBay marathon. It’s always a great choice for us! Consistently clean, tidy, and well priced. Suits us well with a good location to walk to restaurants and opposite the playground and waterfront for nice walks. It has everything you need to be comfortable. Lovely views, friendly staff. Will happily book here again and again.

A great position opposite the beach on Napier's Marine Parade, and an easy walk into town. The room and bathroom are a good size, and everything was clean and neat. Our only problem was that the person upstairs must have been wearing army boots.

This is an older property than would probably benefit from a spruce up. It was quite dark even during the daytime due to its ground floor location. It was an easy walk into town and some tourist places. Cleanliness was average and there was some black mould in the grout of the shower tiles. The heatpump was smelly and needed cleaned. The bathroom fan, inside and out, also needed to be cleaned.

Value for money walking distance to bars,restaurants and across the road to the beach.

Great location, very reasonable price

I like the location of the property, across road from the beach and close to venue had function at. Motel very noisy especially if downstairs, woken 6am with children running around upstairs.

Nice spot, we were only there 1 night handy to local area

Very disappointed. Room needs upgrading. Fans needs cleaning as covered in dust. Bathroom felt grotty. Traffic noise could be heard. Carpet smelt and was grubby and had an odour. Went to see receptionist but all locked up and gone for the day.

Loved our room, and it was great being handy to everything. Enjoyed walking along the waterfront across from the motel. We would definitely come back to Napier next time in New Zealand, and would happily stay here again.

A fairly old property and not overly clean. Not convenient to the centre of town, especially on a wet day as we experienced. Beachfront would have been nicer had the deck been spacious, however, part of the balcony was obscured by a partial wall and you could barely fit the very small table and two chairs on it. A very inexpensive apartment on the plus side but the property desperately needs renovations.
