Absolutely loved our stay at The Queens Head Hotel! From the moment we stepped into the pub to the moment we checked out, the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming or attentive — they truly made us feel at home. The location is spot-on, right on the high street with loads of bars, restaurants, and shops just steps away. Even though the hotel is connected to a lively pub, they close the back door after 9pm, so it’s perfectly peaceful in the rooms behind. We slept like babies! And the breakfast? Top-notch — delicious and satisfying. If you’re looking for a warm, well-located place with fantastic service, I’d wholeheartedly recommend The Queens Head Hotel. Five stars all the way! 🌟

I was very impressed with the Queen's Head. Nice clean room in a great location in Higher Buxton. Housekeeping promptly every day. First-rate full English breakfast included. My only complaint is that the room was rather small. There was no space to have an open suitcase, so I had to stuff it in a closet. That was a little inconvenient. Of course, I realize there is nothing they can do about that. It is an old building, and the room size is what it is.

Superb accommodation. Very clean, comfortable and spacious. Great shower. Perfect location10 minutes stroll to town and 30 mins walk to the brewery. Best thing about this place though is the staff - amazing - really friendly, helpful and kind. Great pub serving Jaipur, which is my favourite beer. Didn't take the opportunity to enjoy the live music as we were there for rest but we would take it up next time we stay. Btw don't be put off by late night music. The rooms are very very quiet. Window open all night and no noise from the street either Thank you to everyone who made our stay incredible. And thank you to Ian for the drinks. We will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Buxton.

The room was in an annexe at the rear of the pub. It had tea and coffee making facilities, large TV, storage and double bed. The room was clean and comfortable. The en suite shower room was modern and clean. The shower was good with plenty of room to move around. Complimentary shower gel and shampoo was also provided. I was particularly pleased that the toilet was quite high as I have a bad leg and often find it difficult to get off low toilet seats. Staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good with a selection of cereal, fruit juice, full English and plenty of toast. Extra toast was offered if you wanted it. There was a band on in the bar on Saturday night and it was very busy but you couldn't hear a thing in your room. Very well sound proofed. Having said that there was a very loud rumbling noise every so often that seemed to be under the room. I'm not sure what it was but I could only guess it was some roller shutters or gates opening and closing in the yard. Perhaps a warning about this might be a good idea. It made jump the first time I heard it. All in all an enjoyable stay in a clean, friendly hotel.

Not accessible. Property is old and there are no lifts. Inconvenient to get luggage up and down to the rooms. Parking is a nightmare around the property. Rooms are overpriced for what you get for, would recommend larger, more well-known brands instead.

Lovely clean room. Very pleasant and welcoming staff. Good location. Numerous good nearby breakfast/ dining places. Although it does not have it's own parking you can park for free in nearby streets.

Last minute booking, so not much time researching. Room was small but clean, tea and coffee making facilities. Shower was good and. Could not hear the live band that was playing, but had some noise off the street. Would have scored more but the staff were a bit rude when I asked for extra pots of milk. Good location, only on street parking.

Easy check-in and friendly staff showing me to my room and instructing me to let him know if there was anything I required during my stay. Room, which is separate to the main pub, was adequate in size and facilities with a very good shower in the bathroom. The hotel is close to the market square where there is a good choice of restaurants, shops and cafes, and it's easy to find breakfast if you decide not to have it in the hotel. It's also only a short 10-15 minute walk to the lower town with all the spa facilities and attractive buildings, although lookout for extortionate tourist prices around there!

The accommodation is around the back of the pub and was very good. The pub itself was not the best in Buxton so we went elsewhere. No parking and we got a ticket for parking nearby but the hotel were great when we raised it and compensated us.

Location and facilities great, as were the staff and management. Breakfast was one of the best ever. Buxton is a fabulous place, and we will go there again and stay at the Queens Head.

A lovely hotel which is masked by a traditional pub frontage. The rooms which are at the back of the pub in a purpose built buildings are spacious and clean. The pub has great live bands on every Friday and Saturday evenings.

Great location, right in the town centre. Very modern and clean. Easy to control the temperature of the room. Downside: low shower pressure and no parking. A council car park is a minute walk away which is fine but the app didn't work and I had to go and pay again after 6pm in order to pay for the morning.
