Quiet and calm.

Good enough airport hotel!

This is an older hotel property close to Riga airport and the highway to the city. It has an on-site restaurant and an always-on free coffee machine, but there is little else in the immediate area. Friendly staff and free on-site parking, so good value for money for a short stay.

Slight issue checking in as the room wasnt cleaned, but swiftly fixed. I needed early breakfast before my flight and this was accomodated, even on xmas day. Very clean and very comfortable.

Very close to the airport, there may be better choices and less expensive places around.. this hotel was fine for a short overnight stay.. use Bolt, the taxis are a bit more expensive.. no elevators, this would be a problem if you had a couple of heavy suitcases. Breakfast was included, simple buffet with a few local Latvian breakfast items included.

I stayed at Mara in 2013 & unfortunately it has disintegrated- 1 person to act as receptionist, bartender,waitress- Mold on ceiling in shower- toilet old 14" high- charges for basic services - staff untrained...waitress put ice cubes in red wine glass- dinner menu had under 12 items & bad quality.- musty smell to room- grounds unkept.

Affordable hotel near Jurmala beach. Even though being an airport hotel this is also good location for a visit to Jurmala, if you are travelling with car. Only 10 minutes drive to Jurmala!

Really friendly helpful receptionist. The airport is so close to the hotel some taxis even refused to take us and others wanted €10 euro. It should t be more than about 5... you can bargain or just get another cab. A transfer service would be most helpful by the hotel even if with a fixed fee to avoid this.

I liked the beautiful trees and meadow surrounding the property. I also liked the tennis club across the street that had a very nice restaurant/cafe that served good home-made food and desserts.

Arrived late and was well received and helped with bad taxi driver ..receptionist came out and helped . They showed real carrying and helpful. Clean nice room and shop in the lobby with variation . Booked taxi hotel back to airport and half price. Use red taxi only .

We were given a clean, spacious room with a comfortable bed. The carpet was old and worn but serviceable, and the room had not been updated recently. Shower was the handheld kind that sprays into the wall when in the holder-- not my favorite. No extras are provided and breakfast and sauna use are pricey so we did not try them. Overall, a decent value for the price.

We stayed here before an early flight. The restaurant dinner was fabulous and desk staff arranged a taxi for us for the morning. Unfortunately there is no elevator and we were on the second floor, which meant hauling bags and a stroller up and down the stairs unassisted. Also there is no air conditioning and even with fans set up in the room it was stifling hot with one window labelled “do not open”. It wasn’t good value for what we paid, although we did make it to the airport on time bright and early.

Room was bigger than expected (called "apartment" with a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom), hotel had a sauna which was a nice surprise but I didn't have a chance to use it. Room was a bit cold because it was mid summer and the thermostat was dialed to zero and they probably weren't expecting the cold weather. Things were nice and clean, shower was a bit weird (shower head had a screw loose that made it impossible to adjust and the shower didn't have separate temperature/pressure adjustment, it first ramps up the pressure and then mixes hot/cold based on how far you turn the single dial) but worked fine.
