Absolutely beautiful hotel and the staff are so friendly and warm. Particular thanks to Alessio who helped us speak to the airport when our bags had been lost and Barbara and Damiano in the restaurant were so lovely and helped us learn some more Italian. The rooms are big, very clean, so cool and comfortable. The staff were fantastic and the food great. Buffet breakfast was fab, as was the buffet dinner. Lunch is a la carte and kind of expensive for lunch but Sardinia is quite expensive, so it’s all relative. There is a path from the hotel to the beach which is beautiful and some sun loungers and parasols reserved for Hotel Marana (you just need tickets from reception) there are some nice beach bars but seem to only open in the day. There is a restaurant open in the evenings, Marinella, which is beautiful but very expensive. We were about to order the lobster tagliatelle which said €35 on the menu, but it was €35 per 100g and weighed 800g so it would have been €280 each for a plate of pasta which is a bit out of budget, ha! The cheapest bottle on the wine list is €70, lovely, but just be aware! The hotel is peaceful and the other guests were all really nice and polite and considerate. Taxis are limited and so expensive. You can walk to Punta Marana to eat but other than that need a taxi or the train from opposite the hotel but they stop at 6.30pm. Visit Porto Rotondo. It’s fabulous.

Great hotel in Olbia. Friendly staff, nice rooms and views. We only stayed one night but wished we had some more time there. Make sure to book reservation for the hotels restaurant if you want to eat dinner there though.

My husband and I came to Hotel Marana for the last night of our honeymoon as we wanted to be somewhere nice and also close to the Olbia airport. It’s an absolutely gorgeous gated property with a beautiful pool and very big room. We were treated very well by front desk staff and though we were only there for one night, we wished we had had longer. The only small things I’ll mention is for those who like pitch black rooms, there was a green light above the door that was flashing and lighting up the room a bit with that so we had to put masks on. As well, the rain shower head needs to be decalcified as it was spraying everywhere but my husband fixed it. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to stay for the breakfast buffet but I saw it looked very nice and they made us to-go boxes!

Lovely hotel central to the area. Our suite was beautiful and spacious. Great breakfast selection. Our only disappointment was there was no self service ironing facilities - you would need to pay for an ironing service which was not convenient or timely.

Staff amazing. Pool not accessible for disabled people or elders. That is my case and will put me off returning in the future unless is fixed. Also, the water is cold. Only two negatives among plenty of positives. Other than those, amazing place, amazing food, amazing staff. My room 115 was well equipes and with a lovely outdoors space to chillax. Thank you all for a fantastic time.

I wish there was a path from the hotel to the beach walkway instead of walking on the grass. The hotel restaurant mainly served fish, wish there were more options for those who don’t eat fish. Free public restrooms on the beach would make it convenient instead of having to go back to the hotel. Beside these “desired improvements “ the hotel was great, very clean and beautiful, spacious rooms. Staff was amazing!

The best thing was the staff. Everyone, EVERYONE, was friendly, nice and helpful. The restaurant staff especially. But also the front desk. The food at the restaurant was generally very good! The room was only ok, and no amenities. The private beach was disappointing.

Very comfortable bedrooms. Lovely beds and linen. Bathroom is very spacious with good powerful shower and small bath. The whole place is spotlessly clean. The food is good, especially dinner which was comparably good value for money. Breakfast is a simple buffet but sufficient. The restaurant is lacking in atmosphere - bright lighting and no music. There is no real bar area and the seating in reception is not particularly comfortable or inviting. We visited just out of season in early October so the hotel was quiet with very little atmosphere. The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. The hotel is ok but could be much improved with a little more atmosphere and better seating and lighting in the lobby/ 'bar' area.

Great room , pool and beach access. However.... Breakfast was poor and had too many tinned fruits, dry pastries limited choices. Coffee was good. There is a problem with wasps near pool and this prevents food being served by pool. Restaurant waiters were very good. But the evening meals were below average for Italy. And not cheap. Two modest restaurants in the village 10 minutes walk away offer good , fresh and simple dishes at great prices. And Porto Rotondo which is lovely offers a great choice and it’s 10 minutes by car.

Very comfortable with large, spacious rooms and a nice balcony. Very good value for the price. Staff were very charming and helpful at all times. Close to a private beach. Only downsides were the breakfast was rather limited for choice and the hotel is basically in the middle of no-where. There is nowhere to eat or drink within easy walking distance - we had a car so it wasn't a problem but if you did not have your own transport your options would be very limited.

The pool is absolutely incredible and my room was so spacious. The shower is one of the biggest and so was my patio. The hotel is in perfect condition and if you have the money I highly recommend it.

The hotel is very updated and clean. The people who work there are very nice as well. It's a bit expensive and a gravel road walk to the beach. If you are alone it's a bit out of the way. Also bring everything you need as there isn't a store to buy suntan lotion or cigarettes if you need them. There is a store to walk and know the taxis during August are quite overpriced and they don't take credit cards.
