Well appointed, small hotel with excellent service

We travel quite a bit, and this was one of the top hotel stays we have ever experienced. The property, being recently renovated, is beautiful, tastefully appointed, and comfortable. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Mario, who met us at reception, and Elizabeth, our server at breakfast every day, were exceptional. They both were personable, helpful and greeted us by name. Elizabeth even remembered how my wife and I like our latte's from the first day! The hotel is fantastic, but the staff put it over the top!

Perfect location to walk to the major attractions. Public transportation is close and easy to use. Lots of great restaurants in a 10min walking radius. Staff was extra friendly, rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. We would stay here again.

It was right in the heart of town. Only a few blocks from the opera house and St Stephen’s Cathedral.

Location, service and breakfast were excellent , TV was too small and it has only one channel, mattress could be updated .

This hotel is a 1930’s experience at best. There’s barely any space to move around in the room. There’s no air-conditioning. And the noise from the street goes on incessantly. I couldn’t get any sleep because I had to have the windows open because it is so stuffy especially when it’s really hot outside Because it’s located in the main thorough fare of Vienna there’s so much traffic late into the night of people and then in the early morning with vans delivering and garbage collection

Lovely ld building. Dontmiss the staircase. Very good location but noisy at night, particularly as we had to leave wthe windows open because of the heat.

Bathrooms are tiny and floor is four inches higher than the bedroom floor making it a tripping risk.

Great location...bit dated room. Bed very low to floor, but bigger room than most European places. Very nice staff though and close to many sites for tourists. No coffee/tea maker in room, but good wifi.

Location was absolutely great! Room was outdated, no shampoo in the bathroom. Very small bathroom!

Pros: great location, comfortable bed, good breakfast. Cons: shabby room and furniture, small bathroom, outdated 19" TV that did not work because no batteries in the remote (staff was not able to provide them on request). No kettle or coffee maker. Noisy trucks delivering goods to the restaurants early in the morning (a pedestrian-only street).

Staff was wonderful. Bathrooms are far too small. Cannot sit on toilet without knees against the wall. Breakfast is great.

This hotel has a perfect location in the center of Vienna. It is a smaller hotel with nice charm and a helpful staff. A nice breakfast is included. The only shortcomings are the boiled eggs were always hard boiled and served hot. I would have preferred soft boiled eggs. The bathrooms are small so if you are overweight it could be difficult to navigate. If iou are travelling in the summer note that this hotel is not air conditioned. I believe they have fans. Not an issue otherwise. I would definitely stay there again (except maybe not in July or August). Great staff.

Extremely central location of the hotel and at the same time quiet and calm, courteous staff, impeccable cleanliness, delicious food. I strongly recommend it!

Loved the Old Workd atmosphere and the staff. This is a very happy hotel and conveniently located close to Staatsoper Wien. Only down side was the bathroom wasn’t big enough for most adults these days. I’m not large an I struggled to

Excellent historic hotel in the heart of the city. Room and bath quite small, but nice breakfast and amazing staff! Frau Clivia and Tarek were absolutely the best!

Location! Location! This hotel is right in the middle of the central tourist area and within easy walking distance to so many places: Albertina platz, the museum quarter, Staats Opera and MusiekVerein plus the many, many restaurants. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and so helpful with hints and advice (even if your request is off the beaten tourist path). I will visit them again anytime! Oh and just incase you land in Vienna and your internet is suddenly not working: closest metro stop to hotel is Karlsplatz.
