My family had a great time in this hotel. They really enjoyed the swimming pool, the casitas and the beach view. Though, place is quite far from the city, you will never regret staying in this place.. However, not all staffs look approachable, some would greet and smile at you, some does not. And also the front desk officer does not know how to compute the SC disc.. We are a group of 6 with 1 SC, I booked for 2 casitas with add 1 pax each rm for P600 per pax. Then SC disct was computed at 600-vat/ 3x20%, we argued on this, I told her that the amount of 600 should not be divided into 3 because the amount is for 1 person only, she keeps on insisting that its the formula provided in the excel until her supervisor came in and adjusted the formula to 600-vatx 20%, just a basic math, took us 10-15 mins before we could checked out considering that we are the only guest checking out on that moment.

Absolutely great! We had an overnight stay with my boyfriend. The place is not crowded. The staff were very accommodating. The sea is not like in Boracay but it was perfect for viewing. We enjoyed the Kayaking activity. The pool is also great. The room is clean and quite. The food is quite expensive but really worth it. I highly recommend this place to my family and friends. Thumbs up 👍🏻

I've been to other beaches during my stay here in the Davao Region, but my vacation at Hijo is number one on my list. Maybe I'm just a sucker for isolated places where you can really have privacy. And this resort is the perfect place for it. Also the plantation and the beach is quite a unique combination. As for the staff and the service, they are just really great, very accommodating, and friendly. From the maintenance, security, F&B, and up to the management you will always see the smile on their faces when you passed by them. The food is farm-to-table so you can't get any fresher and better tasting than that. Mind you, I stayed here for just a night. When I go back to Davao, I'll definitely stay at Hijo again. I have yet to try their tours and also I never get to taste the soft-shelled crabs. Also I forgot to buy some of their products like the coco syrup. 😅 So if you're going to stay at Hijo, make sure to ask for those. :-)

Nice room but no tv. Foods are tasty but a little bit expensive. There are lot of activities, nice pool and we enjoyed our forest tour.

I love the native-inspired accommodations ( Classic Casitas), numerous beach and water sports ( Kayak, Banana Boat, etc), diverse activities ( forest and river tours) and most importantly the food ( it's pricey but worth every penny... the soft-shelled crabs, egg omelet and smoothies are "a must try"! I would recommend to have a private vehicle because of the location.
