I had a group booking for October 3-6, but I checked in early and added an extra night on October 2, and then I got room 717 for a duration until October 6 (the actual booking). So, I don't know if the room 717 I got on the go-show was the one that was actually for sale or if it was broken. The phone in the room didn't work, so if I wanted to make a reservation or something, I couldn't contact the hotel staff. I tried calling on my cell phone, but the number listed on Google Maps, the website, and even Instagram were all wrong. The website was correct, but it connected to the reservations department, so there was no follow-up. It took two days for an engineer to get the phone fixed, but it wasn't fixed until checkout. The phone remained non-functional until checkout.
I've been staying at this hotel since 2023 for an event at JIEXPO, and for three years now, I've been working with Syncronize. My event was even promoted by Holiday Inn Express Kemayoran. But the funny thing is, direct access from the hotel to JIEXPO through the back is actually closed, especially since I took a Gojek. So, there's ABSOLUTELY NO POINT IN STAYING HERE. Unless you take a car/taxi/walk. What a stupid system. If you don't believe me, guests there just have to show their room access key. It's weird, Gojek is told to go around, but taxis/cars are allowed. What a stupid rule. Hopefully someone from management is actually reading this, try going around to gate 6 or even gate 1. Give it a try sometime, so you know. And try holding an event at JIEXPO, so you know what guests experience who stay there for work—not to watch a concert, but to work!
So, if staying at this hotel doesn't make life easier, why bother? It was meant to be practical and comfortable, so after being tired from work, it's nice to go back to the hotel. Going to work is the same, meant to be practical and time efficient. This isn't the case; it just makes you even more tired and takes you around the corner on your way to the venue.
Breakfast isn't worth mentioning, it's the same.
