In an amazing location in the forest overlooking the lake. More like a n apartment than a hotel. Very quiet and peaceful. All very nice. Suggest that they add a dish rack, a microwave and a recycling bin.

A very creepy house in the middle of no where. Scary signs at the entrance. Electricity went out in the middle of the night. Wifi is $10/night which is not even as good. Its non refundable once paid. I won’t recommend

I tried to cancel. The property owner agreed and was ready to refund. But this is a fake site. They have fake customer service. I was put on hold for several times for an hour and they dropped the call. It looks like they are just acting like they are trying to help. But they just hopping you will give up. Please use other sites to book.

I wasn't able to stay in downtown Ottawa for one night so I decided to try a place outside of the city. I could not have picked a better, more relaxing place. The hosts were so warm and friendly, the chalet was awesome in every possible way and the views of the lake were stunning. The chalet had a very comfortable king in the master bedroom as well as a loft with two bed and more sleeping spaces in the main room. The bathroom had a giant tub. The porch was huge and overlooked a beautiful lake. The road up to the property is gravel and dirt so please watch the road, lower gears recommended on the way up. I was so relaxed I forgot my book there and when I went back to get it (and to see the beauty of the main reception house), I had a lovely chat with Alexandra, who told me about a village nearby, Wakefield, on a river with shops and places to eat. Anyway, I would stay there again if in the area.

Great view, king-sized and walk-in closet, but paying $537. in advance for a 3 night stay, we expected a few amenities. The room didn't have: TV, radio, clock, wifi, A/C, wastebasket, table for small bar fridge (on floor), coffee (tea, but no sugar or creamer). The bathroom didn't have: a proper shower, kleenex, shampoo or conditioner, or a door (just a curtain).

The place was peaceful, quiet and charming. If you need to relax and get away from busy day to day activities. This is the place to go.

The room we stayed in looked lovely except for the fact that there were 3 dining room tables and 9 hard surface chairs plus two beds in the main living space. No TV and no comfortable living room sofas! So basically there was really no where to sit and relax.

Beautiful property & lovely staff but you are renting a room in a house. I didn't find that was made very clear when I made the booking. We wanted a romantic weekend away with privacy and that's not what we got. The walls, doors and ceiling are not insulated very well and we could hear EVERYTHING, people walking above us and a couple next door. We felt like we couldn't be ourselves in the place which took away from the tranquil weekend we were expecting.

My stay at Domaine Baie Mud was lovely. The home is spectacular and a treasure to be seen and be a part of. The attentiveness to my needs was excellent. The artwork is incredible and of course the view and terrain - spectacular. I thank the proprietor for opening up her glorious home and welcoming me into her home. Thank you S.

If you're looking for tranquility, this place is perfect. I'm not comfortable giving a negative review, but the staff that registered us could barely speak a word of English. Everything went wrong. We simply wanted to enjoy the lake country: go hiking, canoeing, and swimming. The canoe rental place wouldn't rent a canoe to us because we weren't residents. As for hiking, the English site for Baie Mud is a bad translation: the French site informs you that hiking is available at the future Boticelli Park. The English site leaves out the word "future." So we couldn't go hiking nearby either. I didn't see a place to swim. I feel sorry for the host because the canoe problem wasn't really her fault. We should have had access, but the guy working there didn't know the policy and by the time our host worked it out, we just weren't in the mood to stay any longer. So we left without spending the night. You'll have a better experience if you want to enjoy your time in Wakefield a few miles away, and just use the hotel to sleep and enjoy the tranquility. It's not really a tourist-welcoming lake. All of the waterfront that I saw was privately owned.
