Everyone on the hotel staff was so nice and made us feel at home. The hotel was beautiful with wonderful views of the city. The pool deck was really nice and relaxing. Our spa services were outstanding!

Great location in historic area of Funchal. Fabulous breakfast, lots of choice.

Overall a good experience. Our room was upgraded to a junior suite upon arrival which was a nice touch however a night there was a lot of noise until late as well as early in the morning. I’m not sure if this was due to location of the room (being on first floor and above the dining room/kitchen). It was difficult to sleep, especially if you’re a light sleeper.

This was my second time staying at this property and it was fantastic once again. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. I will continue to stay here when I return to Madeira. Love it....and the pool area is pretty special too!

Fantastic hotel in a great location that was close to harbour, shops and restaurants. Located in a quiet road. Lovely, well equipped room and excellent breakfast. New Year’s celebrations were outstanding and we especially enjoyed being able to view the fireworks on the roof garden, with free drinks and food provided. All of this was enhanced by a wonderful staff team. A great stay.

Helpful staff, central location, comfy bed, tired gym, great happy hour every night we were there, good food, we were b&b but ate in hotel restaurant 3 nights out of 7. Would definitely consider going back to Madeira and this hotel but there are so many destinations to reach before that happens!!

This was our second stay at the hotel, this time with friends, who enjoyed their visit as much as we did. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There was a good choice of food for the vegetarians in the group. The facilities and rooms were excellent. The location is ideal. I'm hoping we'll be able to visit again!

Tasteful refurbishment of an old property. Very friendly management and staff. Excellent breakfast, catering in general first class. We were celebrating our anniversary and when returning after a day out found champagne and chocolates in our room, a lovely touch. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I was blown away!!! They are absolutely amazing!!! We had a 10 hr delay and upon arrival they met us with sparkling wine, directions to restaurants that were open late since we didn’t get to the hotel till after 11pm hungry and exhausted. The hotel restaurant was phenomenal!! We ate there once for dinner, every day for breakfast and dessert one night. We have GF/DF restrictions and they accommodated and made it completely normal. The spa was great, we did the couples massage and love it. They realized it was my bday and had a whole set up by the pool. The location was absolutely amazing as well. We rented a car but didn’t use it much. We had dinner reservations and dolphins tour all within minutes plus extremely nice just to be able to leave the hotel and be downtown and having the availability to explore and see all the shops and attractions. Just be worn the parking is a tight squeeze so can be a little stressful to go in and out, but next to the hotel which makes it extremely helpful.

Great hotel in central location with comfortable room. Immaculately clean everywhere. Lovely rooftop pool, excellent spa facilities with indoor pool, sauna and steam room. Breakfast choices and.service were very good with fabulous fruit every day and tasty fresh egg dishes. Didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening. So convenient for all sights, dining and shopping. Would definitely visit again.

Location is excellent. Despite being only a couple blocks from all the restaurants, shops, and bars, the hotel is perfectly located on a quiet side street. Our included breakfast was among the best I have experienced anywhere. Service was excellent and both the quality and choice of foods was perfect. The hotel facilities, from the sauna, fitness center, etc. and the rooftop lap pool and whirlpool are wonderful. Our room was upgraded to a beautiful suite. This is really a top hotel in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood that would be my first choice if visiting Funchal again.
