Soent one night at The King's Arms and it's fine for just that. Our room was small with two single beds, similar to many hotels around England. It was clean and the ensuite was small but an OK size. There was a stuffy smell in the room, but that cleared after opening the window for a few minutes. With the window closed, it did get hot overnight. With the window open, it cooled down, but there was a bit of noise from the occasional car and people outside. The operator was really nice. Check in was a breeze and breakfast order was taken the night before for the following morning. It would be nice to have cereal, friut and other things, rather than just a cooked breakfast, but that may have been available, we didn't ask. It was a traditional English hotel stay in a pub, which was fine for a night. Wifi didn't work in our room, but was ok in the bar area. On street car parking was available outside in the market square.

From start to finish, this was a really nice place to stay. The landlady Jill made me feel very welcome and was kind enough to explain everything for my stay, including suitable dining options nearby. This is a really nice pub, well kept beers and a very stylish bar area. Breakfast was really nice. I would recommend this place for people looking to stay in the area.

Hotel was as described in web site. Room was clean and well equipped. Good breakfast and host was really friendly. Pub has good range of beers.

A very friendly welcome and a cosy, clean well appointed room to greet us! Comfy beds and nice cheery yellow rugs mugs and cushions. English pub hospitality at its best.

One night business stay , clean compact, ideal as it’s in centre of town , ideal for food, all with walking distance etc, there is a car park in front of hotel very near, but has time restrictions, didn’t bother me as I was out before 8am For me breakfast was to late, but the landlady made me a take out as I wanted to be out earlier than they start breakfast , thank you

Lovely cosy room, great size for the 3 of us plus the dog. Everyone was friendly and the breakfast was lovely. We also had an evening meal which was great too.

This is a comfortable and informal hotel, and our room was clean and well-equipped.

Super room ,very comfortable bed. Exceptional hospitality. The couple that run it are great He makes a mean chilli con carni and she beat me at darts !

Wonderful hosts, amazing breakfasts, clean and tidy, in the centre of town and reaonsable prices. And great food at lunches and dinners - the stew is brilliant. Can't recommend it enough.
