Dinner & breakfast were very good, private onsen was fantastic!

Rooms were spacious with nice looking furniture and the meals were very good. There’s also private onsens that can be reserved.

Excellent for family and couple!

The level of guest care was exceptional with the staff and management going out of their way to help us. The food was also wonderful - very Japanese, and sometimes we were not even sure what we were eating, but it was all fantastic

Excellent Fusion of Japanese Ryokan and Western style hotel. I live in Japan and stayed in Many Ryokan, but this was my favourite ever stay. An immense, high quality Kaiseki Ryouri ( Japanese ) dinner and breakfast, Large rooms with comfortable beds and easy access to private outdoor Onsen (baths). I never bother with reviews, but this is the exception as it was outstanding.

The people running the hotel are fantastic. Made us really welcome, provided a truly Japanese experience of food and fabulous setting in the woods.

A great hotel in a quiet natural surroundings 10 minutes drive from Yufuin. Three open-air private onsens on premises available free of charge. Kind and helpful staff.

Simply gonna re-visit Japan to stay this hotel more than just a night. It was that good. pros: -pick up available -location is actually good because they do pick up(call them when you arrived at the Yufuin station. This pick up is a round trip which means you don’t spend your money on taxis unless you go out somewhere during your stay. but time specific.) -it is located in the beautiful nature of Yufuin -one of their staffs is very fluent in English and all of them are so welcoming. -the breakfast will be the best you’ve ever had -relatively cheap. totally worth your money -rooms are beautiful, big, and clean. Everything is prepared. -onsen is nice, clean, and Japanese style. Most importantly, you can choose private onsen. cons: there is no cons. my gf really loved this hotel too 😆

A very nice and elegant English style hotel with tradition Japanese Onsen. Staffs are very nice, especially Mr Ken, who speaks English well. Breakfast are marvellous. Free parking available. Will return if go to Yufu again.

Such a special experience in Yufuin. Highly recommended! Would be the best choice for mother-daughter trip.

We went to Yufuin in early Feb. However weather changed from normal to heavy snow over the night and we couldn't continue our journey coz our car hadn't equipped with snow tires. Even so, all the hotel staffs were so helpful that they helped us check the tire size and drove us to the convenience stores nearby to buy the appropriate snow chains!! Thank you so much :)

The staffs at the hotel speak good English and are very friendly. The only problem is that the location of the hotel is a bit far from the city center. It is not recommended if you don't drive to the hotel.

If you are looking for a peaceful hotel with western-style beds and food, but still want to try an onsen in private, 'Mori-no terrace' is ideal. The hotel is about 40min walk from the station, but the hotel offers a shuttle bus. We drove, though; the hotel has plenty of free parking. Lovely friendly staff who made every effort to accommodate us and our toddler. We mostly used Japanese, but the staff did speak some English. The rooms are large and spacious, much bigger than I'm used to in Japan. The hotel has several onsen hot baths, including the usual larger segregated baths, but also some lovely smaller baths you can try with friends and/or family. Or family had a fantastic stay here. Highly recommended for couples, families or anyone else looking for a quiet break and a hot bath.

Zauberhaftes Hotel, sehr freundliches Personal, und das Essen ist phänomenal.

洋館で少し古さは感じますがきれいに掃除は行き届いていたと思います。温泉は貸切用と共用があり、大きくはありませんが充分温泉を楽しめました。食事はとても美味しくて妻は食べきれないほどだったので残してしまったのがとても申し訳なく感じています。そして何よりもスタッフの方の優しい感じがとても良かったです。

식사도 숙박도 온천도 대만족했습니다
