Check-in was supposed to be 2:00 PM, but I arrived at 1:30 PM and was allowed into my room. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and tidy. It was close to Kota Lama and a gas station, and the food was delicious. However, when I wanted to swim, the pool was dirty, as if there was sand or moss, so I didn't go. Overall, I won't be disappointed staying here again.

Overall it's good and every time I go to Semarang it becomes a favorite place.

The staff was nice and friendly, but the hotel is in need of renovation. It's dirty and the toilets smell. I booked two rooms, and both toilets smelled. The swimming pool has a bit of a scary vibe because it's dirty and many of the lights are broken and need to be replaced. The AC in one room is also not cold anymore. The service is okay, but...

Strategic location, good price.

I happened to get a discount on a two-night stay here. It was totally worth it! The staff and security were friendly, check-in and check-out were easy, the room was clean, spacious, and the location was strategically located in the city center. It was super comfortable. I hope this comfort is maintained. Thanks.

Honestly, it was a really good stay here, the only downside is that the swimming area is a bit scary, haha, due to the poor lighting. But so far, the food is delicious, the service is good, and it's also very close to Semarang's Old Town, walkable.

The hotel staff was friendly. The food was delicious. The hotel room was nice and spacious. However, the sink faucet was rusty. The bathroom mirror also needed replacing. Overall, everything was good.

Its location is close to the Old Town, making it convenient for sightseeing. The room facilities are good, but the lighting is a bit dim.

I stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights. All the staff were friendly, and the security guard even helped me carry my luggage from my car when I first arrived. The room was standard but very comfortable. The hotel is located within walking distance to the Old Town, and just a few steps to the Old Town Museum and Batik Village. My only suggestion is that the bathroom could be cleaned more carefully. Otherwise, everything was fine, and I would stay here again if I were in Semarang.

Favorite hotel when in Semarang.

The hotel staff was very friendly and always greeted us with a smile. The hotel is very close to Kota Lama, but unfortunately, early check-in isn't available until 12 noon.

Comfortable hotel with delicious breakfast and close to Semarang Old Town.

The hotel's cleanliness was very disappointing. The room smelled damp, and the bathroom was dirty and smelly. Dust and mosquitoes filled the corners of the room. The sheets and pillows were stained and smelly. I was disappointed because this is a well-known hotel with a long-standing brand, but there's no proper maintenance. Furthermore, the AC compressor next to the room hummed and was noisy. Other Horizons aren't as bad as the Horizon Kota Lama Semarang.

Comfortable hotel, delicious breakfast.

As the name suggests, this is an old-fashioned hotel that feels like it needs a lot of renovation, as it is equipped with minimalist room and bathroom facilities, for the class of a Horison Hotel group. The room and bathroom seem like they needed a repaint, the mirror and washbasin look like they needed replacing, as did the shower. The bed linens also felt uncomfortable and needed to be replaced with fresher ones. The food at the Wadim restaurant, which is part of the hotel, was quite good, but unfortunately, when I ordered seafood fried noodles on the last night before checking out, I was disappointed. The fried noodles were delicious, but the garnish of sliced tomatoes was stale and smelled sour, so I threw it away. I informed this by phone to the room service staff, so that no other customers experience the same disappointment. Hopefully, there will be much improvement in the future.
