We had a prior unpleasant experience at this hotel during a scheduled power disruption on May 18-20, where we weren't informed beforehand. The outage caused significant inconvenience, especially for my partner who has claustrophobia. We had to take the stairs from a high floor and deal with a stuffy dining area with limited food options.
When we found out about another scheduled power disruption for our upcoming stay, we promptly contacted the hotel and were relieved that they allowed us to cancel without any penalty. However, Traveloka's policy didn't permit a refund, which was disappointing given the circumstances.
We expect Traveloka to charge only a handling fee or help reschedule a date that I may return to enjoy the hotel stay if a refund is not permissible since hotel did not charge Traveloka or their partner of this reservation.
