The staff was very friendly and helpful over messages. The unexpected room cleaning between nights was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable, and at least in our room, the bathroom was a good size. The location is great, just a few steps away from the city center.
However, there was absolutely no soundproofing. We could hear alarms from other rooms, conversations, and even every time someone used the bathroom. On the first morning, I woke up startled, thinking there was a storm or something, only to realize it was just someone taking a shower—it genuinely sounded like it was happening inside our room.
Additionally, the bathroom near the hostel entrance had a very unpleasant odor if the door was left open. The towels were also bad—rough, with strange stains.
The staff is only around for a couple of hours a day, and while they were polite over messages, in person, during the brief moments we crossed paths, they weren’t welcoming at all. A simple "Hola" with no friendliness—no smile, no "How are you?" or "Do you need anything?"—made the place feel far from hospitable.
