Ideal location, staff helpful EXCEPT the blonde lad serving breakfast, rude and unhelpful. Comfortable and clean. Served its purpose

Probably more than 3 stars as the staff were lovely, the bar was very lovely, the food was extremely lovely, the room in general was super lovely- a complimentary bottle of fizz, OJ and water. £21 for 24hrs parking..about the cost of Brum these days and it is on site at the rear through the archway. A 30 second walk to the Jam House. But..and it is a BIG but…the bed/mattress was terribly uncomfortable leading to a not so lovely nights sleep..which is kind of the point as I was planning to rebook for another trip in June. So many positives about the hotel though but an honest perspective from myself.

After reception registration we found our way to our rooms and found out why the hot air heating was set at 26°,the old wooden sash windows wouldn't seal and could see the curtains wafting also the bathroom towel heater tripped out the plug sockets so had to get the receptionist to reset the trip switch (twice). Our friends next door experienced a bad night's sleep due to the bed's mattress having more crators than the moon.Worst of all the hotel's heating/air con machines hummed all night as the inadequate sash windows didn't snuff out the noise. So pleased we only stayed one night and glad to get home and recoup our lost sleep the next night. The staff were helpful with the outage problem just hope the other problems are rectified to persuade us to return in future.

Lovely spacious room which is well appointed and furnished tastefully. We did not eat food at the restaurant/ bar on this occasion but would certainly give it a go if we have a need to stay in Birmingham again in the future. Staff were really helpful and friendly and location wise the hotel is a reasonably short walk to venues such as Utilita arena.

Great location. Extortionate parking charge, mattress terrible with springs sticking out, asked for a quiet room and had an air vent right outside the window. Hotel looks stylish but should concentrate on guests comfort instead.

The room was spacious we had complimentary prosecco, orange juice and water. The only thing that let it down was the fridge didnt work so had warm drinks even though we reported it as soon as we arrived!

Very nice boutique hotel, within walking distance of city centre area. Lift not working at time of visit, Reception arranged 1st floor room due to stairs. Overall very pleasant stay.

On arrival we were allocated a very stuffy room with no opening windows…we did get moved but to an accessible room - though this did have opening windows an accessible room would not be my choice.

The hotel is a very nice building, lovely location, superb entrance to the restaurant and the bar. The room was very well appointed. However room 1a has a huge fan unit just outside the window, the fan ran all night! The window seals are so poor it was just like having the fan in the room. Perhaps improved window glazing?? The other minor thing was the toilet roll holder which had been positioned in the toilet sitting area.

We had a standard room, positives were it was clean and nicely decorated. There was complimentary water, oj and prosecco. We were staying for a family get together and the food and service at dinner was excellent - great atmosphere and good cocktails. Negatives - the room was quite noisy and the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Breakfast was disappointing - service was very poor and there was overall confusion whether it was included in the room price or not. The £15 charge was good value however the cooked breakfast I had wasn’t great - bacon was dry and overcooked and many of the breakfast items hadn’t been replenished, no plates etc. staff were friendly and apologised but overall feeling of disorganisation. Would eat and drink at the venue but not stay again.
