Brutal, made the reservation from the airport arrived a half hour later was told they were full and nothing they could do to help. Totally unacceptable. He tried to tell us they didn’t work with Expedia, we showed him the website!! He told us to deal with Expedia for our refund. We’re left to wander down the riverfront in the dark at 9:30 on a Friday night during the end of the lunar near year. A very helpful hôtelier started to help us. By chance we wandered into a sister property of the “sold out” one. She realized who we were and that we were not happy, she found us a room elsewhere in town and refunded our rate in cash. We have used Expedia extensively in South America and Asia never had this experience before. The customer service on-line was actually wonderful, helpful and very understanding. Be wary!

The location is on a busy corner that gets noisy early in the morning. The staff are very nice and helpful. Our room looked out on the Mekong and was nice for sunsets. Easy access location we walked most of the time but tuk tuks are everywhere for inexpensive rides to anywhere you could want to go.

Enjoyed my stay here very much. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was walking distance to all the city attractions. I had the room with riverview and it does have a very clear view of Mekong river. However, it is a little noisy in the morning and the windows were not soundproof. Great hotel with friendly staff. I will definitely look at this again when I visit Luang Prabang.
