Had a long weekend stay, a great location to major roads and popular visit spots. Peter is extremely friendly and accommodating. My 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs came too and loved it. Recommend for a clean comfy stay. Plus I love the peacock themes 🦚 💕

We stayed one night after attending a wedding at a nearby location. The room we had was huge with a lovely view. Peter was a wonderful host and allowed us to drop our bags early so we didn't have to leave the wedding party. We booked continental breakfast and the choice and quality was fantastic and far too much. We couldn't eat it all. The property is a lovely old farm house and very quirky.. Some minor things to be aware of that might be an issue for some people are the stairs are winding and quite steep and it is next to a working farm with associated noise and animals. To us these added to the charm though.

This was our third time staying at Mackworth House Farm and, as ever, Peter was the perfect host. The room was clean, tidy and spacious with a beautiful view of the garden. Check-in process was quick, and Peter was on hand to answer any questions we had. The breakfast options were plentiful, and there was a lovely pub a short distance away for evening meals/drinks. Can highly recommend for those wanting to stay in and around the Peak District.

I cannot recommend this place enough! The Host is simply amazing, nothing is too much trouble. The room was immaculate, the property is beautiful and so well kept. The location is 10 minutes from the city centre, but feels like the middle of nowhere with such glorious peace, quiet and tranquillity of the countryside. I booked this as a surprise for my husbands birthday, and we wished we had booked to stay longer! There is a great restaurant less than 5 minutes walk away and this is also reasonably priced and a nice place to eat. We will definitely be going back here, thanks guys for a fabulous weekend away, it was gorgeous! xx
