Beautiful location for this really special place to stay. We had two night here. Although we didn’t have great weather, it hardly altered as the hotel has lots of cosy places to sit and look out on the truly stunning gardens. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. Thank you to whoever found my husbands watch and called us so we were not too far away to come back for it! Another highlight is the hotel’s own soap products which smell amazing and are available to buy. Sadly they had run out but we were gifted a small sample instead which was super nice. The restaurant is lovely, get to breakfast early to snag a window table. The food was excellent. Our room was nice and very clean and we had a good nights sleep. The walls were not as thin as many UK seaside hotels which was good. Overall a lovely stay, we would definitely come back and highly recommend

We received an unexpected upgrade to a suite as it was my husbands birthday. The staff were polite and welcoming, nothing was too much to ask.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. We were luckily upgraded to a suite which had a lovely balcony overlooking the breathtaking gardens and private beach. Blankets were provided. Huge, comfortable double bed. Lovely toiletries. Had and excellent evening meal and breakfast. Friendly staff. Partner had a massage in the spa which added to his relaxing experience. Would thoroughly recommend.

A very good break.

Beautiful site with terrible service. The staff that we got to talk to were really nice, but most of the time impossible to find. No housekeeping during our stay and if we needed anything there was no way to reach anyone. The pipes in my room creaked the whole night and no one did anything to fix it or even acknowledge the issue, even after I raised it repeatedly. The place is breathtaking, but it feels like the management doesn't care about the guests.

The general attention given by staff was excellent and they demonstrated a willingness to go the "little extra"to address questions or discuss general questions about the site.

Amazing hotel with beautiful grounds and secluded beach. Lovely friendly welcome, great service. Very clean and comfortable. Great food. Stunning surroundings. Beautiful decor. We will be back!

There wasn’t a bath as advertised in the Hotel.com room description - I booked the hotel mainly because it had a bath in the bathroom as we don’t have one at home & was looking forward to a lovely bath after a long drive. After I explained my disappointment & also my reticence to move rooms after the first night in order to get a bath for the second night, the lovely Hotel Receptionists went out of their way to get another room ready for us which had a bath where we could stay for both nights of our stay. Very happy with this service & made a wonderful base for our Cornish Seal Sanctuary trip for me and my daughter. The restaurant has lovely view of gardens, feels elegant & food was delicious & high quality - they catered for my 11 year old daughter having something a bit more plain from the menu & friendly staff. Wouldn’t say it’s a good hotel for little children though. Gardens are wild and tropical and the giant gunnera are amazing - you feel like you’re in Honey I Shrunk The Kids. Not for the mobility impaired the walk down to the beach. But it’s not a long walk. The beach - when we were there it was unseasonably windy so we couldn’t swim but it’s great that the beach is right there. And sure it’s lovely to get hot chocolate or pizzas from their Bream Box down there open 12-4. Authentic Cornish experience for us. Loved it.

Room was more than comfortable, Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful, breakfast was great and tasty. Definitely will be going back.

Beautiful gardens, attentive staff, dinner option, access to beach, tranquil and relaxing.

The property itself is beautiful, not much to do in the hotel itself. The dog had no extras included, staff were quite quick and not easy to find. No draft beer, bar only opened after 6pm so getting a drink was not easy. I didn’t use the dining facilities as dogs were only able to book in advance and I was unhappy with the level of service I received in general. The hotel was lovely to stay in for a couple of nights to relax and enjoy the gardens, I would recommend having a means of transport if you want to explore elsewhere.

The hotel grounds are gorgeous with lovely paths to a sandy beach through tropical valleys that are full of hydrangeas and montbretias. Staff were incredibly friendly and dogs are not just welcome but liked. We had a room in the old part of the hotel which was comfortable with a smart new bathroom although the bedroom decor was a bit seventies. Dining in the garden at the Saturday night BBQ was great.
