Pros - Check in staff was great. Room was clean and well appointed. Location was perfect. Cons - WiFi was super weak. Room was doused with perfume, including on the drapes and bedding. I am highly allergic to perfume. Cleaning person said to open the windows. We did that and left the room air out while we were out. It didn’t help. When I called the front desk to ask for non perfumed bedding so I could sleep they said they couldn’t help me because cleaning is subcontracted out and they don’t have linens. I ended up sleeping in the shower with towels on the floor. This wasn’t really a hotel. It was more like an AirBNB with an offsite host during evening hours. I would not recommend if you have any allergies to perfume as it was embedded not just in the bed linens but also in the mattresses and drapes. We were in Suite 1.

Nice rooms, but hard bed. The town itself is simply shopping at high end places so we won’t be back. Beautiful scenery though.

We had a great stay. We were warmly greeted when we arrived. It was a cute little apartment centrally located. Good location clean comfortable bed and very quiet. The staff was very helpful and we will definitely stay here next time we come to Lugano.

This location was perfect! It was close to all of the shopping, the lake, restaurants, etc. And it felt so private going up an elevator to only our suite. Loved it!

The room is nice and spacious like an apartment. Clean. The heating cannot be controlled. Which is inconvenient. First night smells cigarette probably from t ventilation ducts.

La suite 1 del San Carlo Suite es muy linda, cómoda, sin ruidos, tamaño ideal para dos personas aunque éramos tres y también estuvo bien! Muy bien ubicado, a metros del Lago Lugano y de la zona de compras. Todo un 10. La recomiendo.

Very quaint hotel in the heart of the old town with modern finishes in the room. Great location with super friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely stay there again if I'm in Lugano.

Stayed in one of the suites which had the benefit of a small kitchenette. The location is excellent and very quiet at night. The biggest drawback was that location on 2nd floor on a relatively narro street means that practically no sunlight comes in. And the lighting in the room wasn't very good so the lasting impression is of a fairly dark room. Good for sleeping but not really a place you wanna hang out on.

Well I can't say I'm happy. I had to cancel this trip 5 days beforehand due to family illness. OK the rules dictate I lose everything as a result. Requested some kind of goodwill credit against a future retimed trip - silence. I appreciate rules are rules but it is still painful watching my $570 go straight to the owner's bottom line.

This is not a 4 hotel! Nor even a bed and breakfast hotel. There is no reception. If you don’t have connectivity, you can’t check in. I’ve tried to cancel when I saw this bad hotel but it was not possible. I agree with the no show rate, but as a customer, I have the right to cancel the reservation if I am not satisfied! Francesco was so rude during the check in. Pictures show does are not the reality.

Great place and apartament, very clean with good amenities. Alexander was always available for any information. O recomend as a very good place to stay in the heart of Lugano.

The location was excellent, but the room was booked for three people, and was only prepared for two. The sofar bed was not made up, and there were no pillowcases for the extra bed. There were only two towels for showering in the bathroom, and many of the toiletries were only partially filled, as though the previous guest had already used some and they were not replaced. There was an odor of sewer in the bathroom as well. I recieved prompt replies when I requested help from the staff, but communication was only via messaging, and I never saw an actual staff member. The staff member who was helping me was tied up in meetings for most of the day, and was therefore only able to bring me what I needed a few hours after my initial contact.

Absolutely a pleasurable stay. Extremely clean; managed very professional by Francesco and would highly recommend for business or private travelers.
