Loved our stay and really appreciated that there was an EV charger. Great food.

Burts is family run. Nick and staff make sure that everything is perfection. The food is exemplary and the quality of the linen for the bedrooms is first class. My room was on the second floor and was spacious. My only small gripe would be to replace the shower enclosure curtain with a glass screen. Otherwise, highly recommend this lovely hotel.

I liked everything about this hotel. The staff were great, the breakfast was delicious & the mattress on my bed was perfect for me. Would definitely stay here again.

Although only staying 2 nights, room was serviced each day and this is not usually the norm in my, family & friends experiences. All members of staff I encountered were excellent. Good to be able to leave car off road in hotel's private car park

Disappointing: the Ship Inn across the street was a far more welcoming establishment, buoyant, full of character…and cheaper too. Room 19 is very small. Breakfast starts at 8am, which is too late, and lazy , in my opinion.

Lovely old fashioned hotel in a lovely spot and excellent service throughout

The hotel was centrally located and had plenty of parking. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were cute and well kept.

Staff delightful, nothing too much trouble. Nice and clean, and what you would expect from a 17th century establishment, and comfortable. Parking was secure and easily accessible. You are in the centre of the village. Easy access to other areas of the Scottish Borders. Evening tends to close early so make sure you bring a good book.

Always a great stay at burts. Clean comfortable room, delicious breakfast and friendly staff. What’s not to love?

Fab hotel totally recommend

Staff were not welcoming especially when i checked in very late from my flights. Staff were so loud chatting about there night before (personal chats) at 8am in the hall cleaning rooms that i could not sleep. On leaving my room at 10am the laundry bags strew all over the floor meant it was a hazard walking let alone pulling my suitcase.

The hotel has a large car park. The rooms were clean and warm. The hotel was taylored more for eating. The meals were excellent and the bar closed early after meals were finished. There were no casual bar customers. Pleanty of bars close by. The area was very safe and comfortable to walk around at any time..Nice friendly staff.
