No heating on when arrived to room. Heating put on at 10pm. Found hairs in the bed linen. Beds changed at 11.15pm. Hairs found on milk jug. No hair nets worn by staff. Dirty clothes and messy hair also. Greeting when we arrived by a man was shocking just asked what we wanted for breakfast. Staff went into room to conduct maintenance without permission when we had left the hotel to go on a walk. No bar or entertainment on in the evening. Furniture untidy. When we complained at 11.15pm owner said if you are not happy go find another hotel. We are 67 and 62.

Breakfast good staff very polite and helpful location is a bit to far away from the town centre

Lovely room beautiful breakfast and very friendly staff they excelled the place needs tidying up carpets etc they are doing a big renovation and making a grand job of it needs the stairlift fixing but overall a really good experience such a lovely friendly place

Hotel clean, tidy and staff friendly - breakfast included was a bonus for a very reasonable price

The staff were all very friendly however overall the establishment desperately needs a modern makeover and a good clean needless to say will not be staying there again

You get what you pay for

Could do with a good clean, mainly carpets. But bed comfy (but noisy) hot water is luke warm after running tap for 10 mins to get it luke warm, best b+b breakfast i have ever had thou and on that note i will be returning

As it was an over 50’s Hotel it really was excellent for the price, the manager and the staff we met could not do enough for you, nothing was to much to ask, the breakfast was lovely and well prepared, coffee and tea really hot. My wife was in a wheelchair so we where given a ground level room with access through the back with zero stairs.

You felt at home.

Place needed a good clean , carpets, bathroom everything

It was ok for the price rooms in need of modernisation Cleanliness was a bit hit and miss

Very nice staff - property is very dated - room had a very strong damp smell and is unfortunately not the cleanest we have stayed in

Lovely owner John very helpful nice and clean good breakfast

The owner was excellent and was pleasant and did his best to make my stay a good one. Unfortunately the bedroom door lock didn’t work and he was unable to fix it. I had to therefore wedge it shut through the night. The other point which was a little more disappointing was that I could not get the shower to run hot. Not ideal. Overall. A reasonable stay, pleasant owner, just feel the the property needs a little more TLC and updating.

We love staying at brooklands, john is a great host.

Host (john)was absolutely fantastic. Very friendly and helpful .when out of his way to make your stay pleasant. He even made me eggs benedict for breakfast. Will definitely be staying again.

The service was second to none, everything was top notch, i would highly recommend people give john a visit such a lovely man.
