Nice quite place, was a little unsure if the room was for us at first as it looked like someone had just stayed before us with trash and towels. It was a great place to stay for the night and would stay again.

Normally, the property sends us the access code 24 to 48 hours before our arrival, but we did not receive it. On the day of our arrival, we tried calling their phone number multiple times, but no one answered. Concerned that it might be a scam, we decided to arrive early, around 3 PM. When we arrived, there was a phone on-site that we used to call them repeatedly. Eventually, a lady answered and told us she was busy and couldn't provide the code, instructing us to come back after 4 PM. When we returned at 4 PM, a man was there who helped us call the lady (presumably the manager). We finally received the access code, but it was only after entering the room that we received an email with the room number and access code. This experience significantly disrupted our travel plans and diminished our overall impression of the property. I would advise against booking this property due to the poor communication and lack of timely support.

An inn located by the sea, you can check in by yourself with a password sent to you. The guest rooms are on the second floor, and the restaurant is on the ground floor, so it is very convenient for food and accommodation.

Good amount of space in the apartment. Very clean. This was the cheapest place we could find at reasonably short notice but was pretty expensive for what we got. Very good base for exploring the Snaefelsness peninsula.

Very comfortable rooms/beds, good shower. Clean and well maintained. Olafsvik is a very quaint fishing village that was very convenient for traveling around Snaefellsnes Peninsula.

The room is spacious. However we never received emails about the checkin instructions. The phone number provided did not work. Luckily 10 -15 minutes after emailing about our arrival, the property manager showed up. We have seen other tenants trying to figure out how to check in. The apartment has strong odor.

Received the key quote and room no. via email (although has been checking even before we left the hotel to continue our journey, did not see it till we arrived at the apartment). Easy access except need to climb the stairs with our luggage. The room is big and comfortable. There is also a restaurant at ground floor.

First of all, it’s a non-refundable booking. We booked the room day at the first, found it out right away. Tried to cancel it and book the next day. On the phone with Expedia; unable to cancel it at all. Expedia gave us partial refund; then we booked it again the next day. Received the confirmation emails with no check in instructions. Arrived before 9pm, called via the phone provided at the doorway, that lady spoke too fast and I had to ask her to slow down to get the code. Then she made me like an idiot… No elevator. Not convenient with large suitcases. Spacious room with couch and tablet! Four real beds as we booked. That’s a plus. Some pots and pans in the kitchen, but no salt or oil.

There is no elevator. We got the room in second floor. Room was very basic. Equipped with kitchen but no basic items like oil, salt. There was no coffee machine, dishwasher. It’s an outdated property.

It was roomy enough. The curtains let in a lot of light, which made sleeping rough since there is so much daylight in May. No elevator. I had questions before checking in and tried to call the provided phone number, with no answer. The self check-in did work fine, though. There are few restaurants in Olafsvik, so be aware this hotel does not provide breakfast. We got yogurt and pastries at the local supermarket.

The room was very spacious and had all the conveniences of home. It was hard to find once we got into town. The signage wasn't clear, and we had to ask across the street where it was located.

The apartment boasts a fantastic location with stunning views and overall cleanliness. The bathroom was also well-maintained. However, the only issue I encountered was the challenge of gaining access to the apartment. The digital key code was not provided in the initial email, so I had to call the provided number, which resulted in a delay before obtaining it.

We stayed at welcome Apartments Olafsvik for two nights during our ring road trip in Iceland recently. The place is spacious, simple and basic but sufficient for our needs.

Great location in centre of town. But the town is small. Great restaurant just under the apartments. Apartments were roomy and had all appliances required. Maid changed towels, teatowels and cloths every day.
