If it was fit for Napoleon, it may as well be for you. Excellent location smack in the middle of Solothurn. Outstanding, effective, efficient and very friendly staff throughout, both on the phone and on premise. Large and beautifully appointed yet not over-decorated rooms at adequate prices. I missed a bathrobe though. I just mention this to at least complain about one tiny little thing.... :) Also the Hotel Bar is good and fun, drawing in a local crowd. The restaurant is excellent and the wine-menu hinting at a very carefully managed cellar with a fantastic choice at still fair prices. The included breakfast buffet was really good too. I was there with family and rented out multiple rooms and would go again without second thoughts if overnighting in this neighborhood.

Historic hotel in the center of Solothurn. Rooms are spacious, well designed and immaculately clean. The beds with their sumptuous linen make for a great night’s sleep. The restaurant and bar exceeded expectations with the staff in both being warm, and friendly yet professional.

Stayed here for one night at the start of a long Euro Trip and was very happy with my choice. The front line staff were very pleasant the entire trip, the hotel is a beautiful historical building in an amazing location at the centre of town. The room was spacious and comfortable with complimentary mini bar drinks and snacks plus great cosmetics. My only area of constructive criticism would be to improve the hot selection at breakfast. Would highly recommend the hotel overall as the best in the city!

Lovely hotel - excellent personable service and beautiful, air conditioned rooms. All the details had been considered, we had a drink in the bar and a delicious dinner in the restaurant, seated outside in the square. Excellent breakfast too, would love to stay again!
