Hotel feels posh the moment I stepped in and it’s one of the most spacious and comfortable hotel rooms that I’ve stayed in Japan so far. It’s also along the famous Kamo River (book river view room if possible). It’s also strategically located within walking distance of Sanjo train station and within a 10-20 minute walk to popular spots like Gion, Kiyomizudera, Pontocho Alley, Teramachi shopping street, etc.

We had a wonderful short stay at Solaria! I made a mistake with the booking and staff were so friendly and helpful (they fixed it for me without issue, even though it was my fault). The rooms are much more spacious than we had been used to at other hotels in Japan and very well appointed. It was located so close to public transport, great restaurants, and cafes. We will definitely stay again when we return to Kyoto.

The facilities are very good, there are free smartphone facilities with internet data, for children there is special treatment. right next to the kamau river, and the station is opposite, we are a family with toddlers, highly recommended.

A new hotel, very clean and fragrance. interior is beautiful, very japanese style bamboo style. my room has a garden view. furnitures are all new. aircon very cold. good location walking distance to pontonchon alley. service is good speak good english and very friendly hotel manager. there is onsen on Basement wow! very comforting after a tiring day outside. never try meal, because you can go to pontonchon a lots of kobe restaurants there. price is ok.
