Stayed in this pleasant village pub for two nights this week. Young couple run it with a young friendly team. They work hard and the pub is. a credit to them. We had a bed and breakfast deal which was good value. We also had dinner in the pub on one evening. Food standard was good, wine was reasonably priced and good range, service excellent. Full marks to them all. Pitty it wasn't good weather as we would have liked to sit in the outside area which looked fabulous.

This is a proper village pub and it was great to see the lively atmosphere. All the staff and locals were friendly and welcoming. There was a vegan dinner and dessert option and a good selection of draft beers.

We drank and ate at the pub over three days and food was first class and landlord so welcoming. We have visited this pub for five years , every time we stay in the village. Would’ve been nice to have a local band playing over the bank holiday , like n previous years, but aside from that, we loved it

Posting because we had an amazing time at this lovely village pub. The food was absolutely delicious and the team could not have done more to make our young family feel at home, really going above and beyond for us and our children. We’re staying nearby on holiday and as an added bonus were lucky enough to be at this pub when the local carol singers were performing ahead of Christmas. Truly lovely!

My family and I enjoyed a stunning carvery on Sunday! My eldest son is disabled and it’s hard for us to go out and eat together because most places don’t serve food that he can eat. I messaged adam to explain and he offered to make him something different to the carvery if that would help, and he also said it’s ok for us to bring food that he can eat if that works better! Wow! When we arrived we were seated in a quieter section of the restaurant area to better meet my son’s needs and he even warmed up the food we brought for him. I can’t praise them highly enough for how accommodating and inclusive they are! Plus the food was absolutely incredible! Proper roast beef cooked pink the way it should be! 😍 thank you Adam and your lovely staff at The White Lion Inn for a lovely Sunday Carvery! We’ll be back very soon!
